We've been here in Lyle, WA since 2004. It's been slow, steady and thoughtful growth to where we are today and we are still continually changing and learning. We produce 5000 cases annually, focusing on mainly white wine varietals from here in the Columbia Gorge AVA and red varietals from our backyard of Eastern Washington. Our winery building was designed by goCstudio of Seattle and completed in 2016. It offers views of Mt. Hood, the Cascade range to the west and the desert in the east, along with places to hang out and hide out. The winds that bring kite boarders and windsurfers to the gorge can often be aggressive in our neck of the woods, so the winery and tasting room provide shelter for our courtyard, allowing guests to take full advantage of the sunshine in spring and fall. The large overhangs provide respite from the sun when it blazes in the middle of the summer or from the intermittent rains that occasionally pass through. Reservations are recommended, but we do accept walk ins for glasses and/or bottles.
“This venue was unreal. The building design was so smart to stay comfortable on scorching summer days, but still get great Hood views. Beautiful space. And the sparkling rose is dangerouslyyyy good. I’m in love!”
“The entire staff is incredible. Very kind and welcoming. Cheerful atmosphere. But let’s talk about the wine We recently visited COR Cellarsl and joined the wine club. The wines were excellent, but what stood out most was the people. Luke and Meg and Adrian were so very welcoming, knowledgeable, and easy to talk with. Each took the time to answer questions about the wines and the winery without making anything feel formal or rushed. The entire experience felt relaxed and genuine. I enjoyed Adrian’s story of surviving -and helping save Cor during the Bourdoin Fire in 2025. I especially enjoyed the Alba white blend. It was bright, balanced, and perfect for a warm Gorge afternoon. You can tell there is a lot of thought and care behind the winemaking. It’s easy to understand why COR has earned such a strong reputation over the years. The tasting room is beautiful, the views are lovely, and the atmosphere is comfortable and unpretentious. We never felt rushed and enjoyed learning more about the wines while taking in the surroundings. Additionally, a United Way Art Auction was hosted there. INCREDIBLE! The space looked insanely cool with Art hanging on their outdoor walls. Wow. Just wow Thank you team, for making our visit so enjoyable. We look forward to coming again now that we are members!”
“Had a great experience at COR Cellars. The setting was open, relaxing, and beautifully decorated. Service was excellent, and after trying a flight we ended up leaving with a couple bottles of wine. Definitely recommend the charcuterie board as well — it paired perfectly with the tasting experience.”
“Cor was a really lovely addition to our wine-exploration trip of the area. The facility itself is really very pretty, with a perfect open-area patio to shield you from the ever-present gorge wind, and the sun. We did their regular tasting. The wines were clean and tasty, with locally sourced grapes from the Columbia Gorge AVA. The reds were on the lighter side, and the Rose was really drinkable and refreshing. I appreciated the view of Mt. Hood, though only a small bit is visible from the tasting room (we didn't walk the vinyard). The drive was really pleasant to get there, and the staff was very friendly and prompt, albeit too busy to really get into answering deeper questions about the winery. Worth the visit!”
“The best wine I've ever tasted. Very inviting, charming, intimate, homey, snug place. Don't miss this little gem in the Columbia Gorge!”
