We're Dandelion Chocolate, a bean-to-bar chocolate maker in San Francisco's Mission District. For over 10 years, we've been turning cocoa beans and organic sugar into single-origin dark chocolate. We travel and build lasting relationships with cocoa farmers and producers, then craft small batches of chocolate back home in our San Francisco factory and served in our cafes, located in San Francisco, Las Vegas, and Tokyo. Our chocolate is just two ingredients: cocoa beans and organic sugar. Since our earliest days, we've focused on bringing out the nuances within really good cocoa, using only two ingredients: ethically sourced, well-fermented, carefully roasted beans and organic cane sugar. We look forward to inviting you into our stores to sample our bars and into our cafes for a hot chocolate and pastry, crafted by our culinary team led by pastry chef Lisa Vega.
“Our family went on the chocolate tour factory and we enjoyed hearing and seeing how chocolate is made from start to end. We had lots of yummy chocolate samples along the way. So much that some of us passed on the last sample. A nice treat is that we received a card to redeem for a drink at the cafe. My kids enjoyed the fresh homemade marshmallows at the self service bar. It was a fun and nice environment. We would definitely go back in the near future!”
“After hours of dancing at the Carnival, my girlfriend and I needed a break before heading home. Since she had never been to Dandelion Chocolate, I knew it would be the perfect spot to unwind. I ordered an decaffeinated Americano, which was made to perfection. She hot chcolate that was topped with a marshmallow and was absolutely gushing over it the entire time. Beyond the drinks, the inside of this location is stunning. It’s so chic and beautiful, from the gorgeous plants and large windows to the gold trim and chandelier. It is easily my absolute favorite location. It was the perfect way to wrap up an amazing day. Staff was so sweet and very friendly even at the end of their work day. CC accepted. “(Online order) Order the 85% Chocolate gift set which the experience was amazing! The wrapping paper is so luxury almost feel like fabric, with a golden ribbon. No doubt on chocolate on itself, the flavor just distribute all over the place🥰 Best Chocolate bar experience which only has 2 ingredients! Cannot wait for 2026 Advent! (Pre-ordered😋)”
“I signed up for the factory tour and was completely blown away. Over the course of about two hours they go through the entire chocolate making process from bean to bar and it is fascinating! At the end, I was pleasantly surprised when they passed out drink tokens, which allowed attendees to a free beverage of their choice at onsite cafe.”
“Great place to experience heavenly chocolate. Staff is friendly and nice; mission hot chocolate is spicy and light - wonderful and not cloying. Wanted to attend a class but unfortunately those get booked months in advance so will plan for next visit to San Francisco.”
