“Our 1st time there while visiting the island. The servers were great and friendly. The food was very tasty and large portions. Specially the fish. They are huge. My wife absolutely loved the turkey and bree sandwich. Will return again.”

“Enjoyed a Valentine’s snack stop , one of several meals we have had here over time. Staff are always wonderful! Good menu selection. The baked Brie was a special for the day and was delicious. Their wings are some of the best we have found in the area and are huge compared to many establishments. Lots of parking.”

“Update: The owner reached out and offered to make things right. Very impressed by the communication and accountability. We will definitely return! First time visiting, new to the area. It was recommended but in our opinion it fell short. The service was acceptable and the environment was good but the food was mediocre. The garlic honey wings were okay but the fake garlic flavour was off putting. The yam fries were not even hot but tasted fine, we asked for extra chipotle sauce but never got it. Our salads were less than mediocre. In the end the food was edible but for the price, our bill being 75$ and some is steep For the quality we received. The shaken colada was delicious!”

“I would love to give these guys a better review and to be fair we ordered through skip because we were gifted a gift card and they are the best option on the platform in the parksville/Qualicum area. It feels as if they were offended we ordered through skip, the portions were so small. We both got the short rib for a whopping $27 each and the pieces of meat we got would not fill a child. I kid you not no longer than a bic lighter. We feel robbed, I would recommend pizza (which is mostly the only option available) over these prices and portions any day.”

“We had not been back to Deez for quite some time, last time our chicken wings looked like toothpicks! So we tried again. What an honest disappointment. The service was… meh…. But the food! I ordered with my wings a “side” of fries and my husband a “side” of tots. The cost of the fries was $6.00 and the tots $7.00. What arrived is such a small amount of both fries and tots. Surely there was a mistake?! Our daughter works in the service (restaurant) industry and noted it was a very small amount!! We kindly asked the waitress, was there an error? You ordered a “side”, not an order. Ok…. But I also paid $6.00 for a very few fries! Same as the tots. In my opinion, what was, imo, an easy turn around of an unhappy client, ended up with us leaving vowing to never return. We gave her another chance to perhaps take it off our bill or discount, she didn’t seem to give two….. Will never ever return. Horrible service”
