Craftsmanship and attention detail are displayed here, where guests experience our seasonal omakase menu curated nightly by Chef Ryan McMullen. Serving a Kaiseke/Edomae-style sushi, incorporating aging and preparation techniques that date back to the 1600's. Upon entering the restaurant, guests are transcended into calming forest of plants. The centerpiece of our dining room is our 14-seat, 150-year-old douglas fir wooden bar and traditional ice chest, where Chef Ryan refrigerates the evening's fish selections.
“This is one of the best dining experiences on the Oregon coast (and perhaps in Oregon). We stumbled upon it while planning a coast getaway and we are so glad we got to dine here. Chefs Ryan and Jesse created a gorgeous, multi-course experience that wowed us with their presentation and unique flavor combinations. The nigiri course was also meticulously curated, showcasing their skills with the knife. The setting is intimate, the decor is inviting, and the chefs make an effort to get to know the patrons all whilst continuing to prepare the next courses. Dew is absolutely worth making the journey for; I know we will be back soon for more.”
“Incredible experience and atmosphere. Just beautiful from start to finish. Ryan is an incredible chef and host. Such a fun yet relaxed experience! Delicious and affordable wines and sakes. Thanks for hosting us and making it a memorable evening- top 3 restaurant experiences for sure!”
“We celebrated my wife’s birthday here, and it was an absolutely amazing experience from beginning to end. You can tell that this is a personal passion project for Ryan and team, and it’s reflected in everything from the small, intimate look and feel of the dining space itself, down to each delicious, lovingly hand-crafted omakase course prepared right in front of you. This is food that is made with love, dedication, passion, and intimate craftwork… by people who truly appreciate the joy that comes with sharing something you love with others. We’ll be back again.”
“Dew is an incredible new Japanese restaurant that just opened in Pacific City. We ate there the other night, and it’s not just a meal, it is an experience. The restaurant itself is beautiful, the food from start to finish was amazing, and the service was fantastic. Chef Ryan is not only very personable but also deeply knowledgeable about Japanese cuisine. I highly recommend Dew and will be back again soon!”
“We recently dined here for the omakase experience and overall had a good evening. There were definitely some standout bites throughout the meal, and we really appreciated the atmosphere and the opportunity to interact with the chef. The conversation and presentation added a lot to the experience. That said, despite really wanting this meal to be incredible, it sadly missed the mark for us. Having dined at high-end sushi and omakase restaurants, we felt the execution could have been stronger and more refined. While nothing was necessarily bad, many dishes lacked the depth and balance we were hoping for at this level of dining. What the evening lacked in flavor was certainly made up for in ambiance and hospitality, and we’re glad we experienced it at least once. Overall, it was a worthwhile one-time experience, though probably not somewhere we would personally return to.”
