“Our server Ciara was fantastic! Super knowledgeable about the wines they make and the regions they come from. Shared lots of friendly insight about the wines we tried so that we could enjoy them to the fullest. The wines were all excellent. Ambience was lovely. The live music was the cherry on top--not sure of the guy's name but he had a great voice, played guitar well, and sang a fun mix of familiar songs.”
“Amazing wine bar. Service was phenomenal, loved talking with them about the wine. Very knowledgeable. Wine club seems like a good value on its surface, but not quite as good as we originally thought. The wine is very top tier, and their French options are excellent.”
“I can't rate the food because we didn't eat. The wine tastings were amazing. Great wine, exceptional service. These people know what they're taking about.”
“I visited Domaine Serene Wine Lounge in Portland expecting a premium wine tasting experience, but I left feeling that the focus was much more on selling memberships than on sharing and showcasing the wines. The tasting itself was expensive for what was offered. The pours were quite small, and guests are encouraged to purchase wine, with bottles often priced well above $100. The overall experience felt more like a sales presentation than a wine tasting. I have visited many wineries and tasting rooms where the experience includes a tour, education about the vineyards, the winemaking process, and a genuine opportunity to learn about the wines. Here, there was no tour or behind-the-scenes experience—just a strong emphasis on memberships and wine sales. The wines were good, and the venue is beautiful, which is why I’m giving 3 stars instead of fewer. However, for the price, I expected a more engaging and educational wine experience rather than a sales-focused one.”
“It was an OK vineyard. I didn’t enjoy the wines but enjoyed the host. They aren’t very personal and have absolutely no qualms about reminding you that you’re not a member, which is off putting - but I digress. It definitely wouldn’t be a place where I went out of my way to visit and I’ll more than likely never be back 🤷🏾♀️ $50 tasting and it’s waived if you spend $100 on wine only 👎🏾”
