“Wandered in here with my husband after work and I was pleasantly surprised. Amazing drinks, friendly staff, the food is phenomenal! The wagyu Chicago style hotdog is probably the best version of a chi-style hotdog I’ve ever had, and I’m a native of this city. If you’re a foodie like me me, don’t sleep on this hidden gem.”

“Went here for a happy hour date after work and had a great experience. I had made a reservation the night before so had no trouble getting seated. Friendly staff and hostess. Happy hour offered great deals on cocktail and small bite options. The drinks were great. The hash browns option was underwhelming but the shrimp po boy was very tasty.”

“Adorable spot with a beautiful bar. The menu appears to be more for the lunch crowd (soups, sandwiches, and salads), same with the portion sizes. The Pea Rigatoni was on the smaller side (especially for $27), but was delicious. Loved the chicken dumpling soup (especially the adorable mini cast iron it came in). Only one server was working the entire restaurant before the opera, so as the place filled up, we went over a half hour without a check-in, which was frustrating because we wanted another round of drinks. The cocktails were fantastic, especially the Poblano Picasso (Fords Gin Salers, Ancho Reyes, Green Chartreuse). Will definitely return for cocktails!”

“Not a good place for pre-performance meals. Will not return. Heavily recommend going ANYWHERE else. Here’s why: We came to have lunch at 12 PM before a 1 PM matinee. 1) The amazingly rude hostess left us all standing on the sidewalk until 12:02 PM in 20° F weather. 20 degrees folks - many of us with children under 10. Instead of allowing us inside and simply saying she couldn’t see us yet she just stared at us from inside the door. 2) Timing / Rushing. When she finally did unlock the door, late, I might add, she sat everybody as slowly as human possible. By the time we were seated, it was 12:15. 3) Food. Meh. Lunch options were much more limited than what I saw online. The food was adequate, but not particularly interesting. 4) Non-alcoholic drinks =nada. I asked for an orange juice for my niece, and was told there was only enough orange juice to make mimosas. Hah. The only good part of the experience was my waiter who was rushing because all ofus were in for the show.”
