Enclos, located in the heart of Sonoma, is a refined yet welcoming restaurant led by Chef Brian Limoges, whose culinary approach combines innovative techniques with a deep respect for seasonal, locally-sourced ingredients. Chef Limoges brings his refined French training and global experience to every dish, crafting a menu that celebrates California’s abundant produce, sustainable meats, and the region’s rich agricultural bounty. The restaurant’s intimate, modern space invites guests to experience an elevated dining experience with thoughtfully composed dishes that highlight the best of Sonoma's flavors. We are happy to accommodate dietary needs within the limitations of our set menu and kitchen. To ensure the best possible experience, we kindly ask that all dietary restrictions be shared with us at least 72 hours in advance of your reservation. We are unable to accommodate last-minute or unexpected dietary needs without adequate notice. Please see below for details on what we can and cannot accommodate: • Vegetarian: We are pleased to offer a thoughtfully prepared vegetarian menu with advance notice. • Allium Sensitivity: We can accommodate requests to avoid alliums in solid form (e.g., onions, garlic), while still allowing their use in stocks or as subtle background flavors. We cannot offer a fully allium-free experience. • Vegan Diets: Due to the nature of our preparations and ingredients, we are unable to accommodate a fully vegan menu. • Egg Allergy: Eggs play a foundational role in many of our preparations, and as a result, we’re unable to safely accommodate guests with a severe egg allergy. • Celiac & Gluten Sensitivity: We want to be fully transparent—due to the nature of our kitchen and menu, trace amounts of gluten are present throughout the experience. As such, we cannot guarantee a gluten-free or celiac-safe meal. • Dairy: We can accommodate guests who are comfortable with minimal dairy (e.g., butter, cream, or milk used sparingly), but we are unable to provide a completely dairy-free menu. • Seaweed Sensitivity: Seaweed is an essential ingredient in several components of our menu—particularly broths and dishes like our chowder and tuna course. While we can adjust or substitute certain courses (including vegetarian alternatives), we are unable to eliminate seaweed entirely. • Special Menus (e.g., New Year’s Eve, Valentine’s Day): Due to the nature of these offerings, we are unable to accommodate dietary restrictions during special menu events. If you have other dietary concerns, we encourage you to reach out in advance. We will do our best to assist within the scope of our culinary program and greatly appreciate your understanding.
“Operation launched smoothly with an arrival at 5:30 PM. I was immediately struck by the curb appeal and structural execution of the beautifully restored late-1800s Victorian estate. Check-in was prompt, and we were expertly led through a fluid spatial layout. The transition passes from the open kitchen line through a lighter-toned wood dining room, ultimately anchoring at our table in the front chamber featuring rich, dark wood-plank walls and unlined live-edge tables. The architecture inside operates with high intent. We were seated on a comfortable couchette that featured plush pillows for targeted back support, though I noted the individual chairs around the room do not have them. Tables are nicely spaced apart to preserve acoustic boundaries. The room's downlighting is incredibly deliberate; individual black cylindrical fixtures hang precisely above each table to act as a direct spotlight, highlighting the textures of the culinary creations and the extraordinarily beautiful flatware details below. Notably, the tabletop setup is anchored by a gorgeous, top-down geometric layout of silver pieces, showcasing deep, intricate, baroque-style metalwork patterns that reflect the intense overhead highlights perfectly. Notable asset check: the restroom facilities are immaculate. I monitored them across two separate visits; both times, the rolled reusable cloths were completely topped off, suggesting the staff meticulously resets the space after every single guest. Furthermore, a team member escorts you to and from the facility corridor—a brilliant traffic-control protocol that keeps the narrow pathways entirely clear for floor service. Operating without a full liquor license, the beverage team channels their creativity into exceptional alternatives. I was particularly impressed by the opening pour, utilizing a minimalist, canteen-style glass vessel. The amuse-bouche finger bites at the top of the menu were absolute favorites of the evening—stunningly presented, intensely focused, and serves as an exceptional playground for tight macro photography subjects. The kitchen's execution is driven by an amazing programmatic use of organic produce sourced directly from their nearby farm estate. The wait staff is highly knowledgeable and elite at gauging customer interaction, ensuring a smooth, welcoming rhythm across the table. This is elevated during the main savory transition by a custom presentation box of steak knives with diverse, exotic wood handles—a brilliant tableside selection ritual that highlights their exceptional hospitality standards. Pacing was excellent, spanning a deliberate three-hour window. Table maintenance was immaculate; between courses, crumbs were cleared and the raw wood surface was systematically wiped down with a damp cloth. The kitchen also met our strict dietary requirements flawlessly, swapping out the standard sequences with alternative luxury proteins that maintained the exact technical gravity of the house style. To maintain absolute analytical candor, only two minor system errors were observed: While the flavor profile of the house butter was exceptional, its physical structure was far too soft. When attempting to apply it, the texture lacked the necessary density to adhere to the beautiful wooden spread knives, causing it to slide off the blade completely for both myself and my partner. Upon delivery of the strawberry dessert, the liquid base had sloshed during transit from the pass to the table. This left prominent, visible rings of residue climbing up the white porcelain bowl, which visually compromised the geometric cleanliness and pristine presentation of the dish before the first bite. Despite these small service ripples, the overall execution inside this kitchen is phenomenal. A beautifully managed, highly recommended destination that easily justifies its trajectory. Reservations are strictly required. For parking, street-level spaces surrounding the plaza area are exceptionally easy to secure during the dinner window.”
“We recently dined at Enclos on our romancy visit to Sonoma! It was truly sensational! Paige, our server, was amazing! She was so personable. I love when a fine dining restaurant with exceptional food also manages to avoid being pretentious! My partner and I are avid cooks and travelers. We love to try new places and rarely revisit the same restaurant because they are, of course quite a splurge. Well we are both really excited about returning to Enclos for the 3rd time when we visit wine country again. Thank you all for everything. Every course was simply sublime! If I haddd to pick a favorite (or two, or three) I actually told my partner; "Canape!!" Someone should open a restaurant called Canape because these blew my mind! I could've eaten a dozen of the venison tartare!! And I adored the art that welcomed us back! Cheers to the talented staff, artist, chef and thank you so much Paige!!”
“Absolutely amazing experience at Enclos. The food felt like true works of art—each dish beautifully presented, and every bite genuinely unforgettable. The service elevated the entire evening even further. The team was incredibly warm, attentive, and thoughtful, with a clear attention to detail that made us feel well taken care of throughout. A truly memorable dining experience from start to finish.”
“I do not know even where to begin but the experience here was a total package. I couldn't believe how QUIET the place was, even with an open kitchen. The staff were kind and welcoming, knowledgeable and enthusiastic but also non-intrusive and serious. There's no way to describe the food other than a whole sensory experience. The intention and attention to detail was top notch. I was visiting my best friend in Sonoma and I cannot wait to return!”
“Amazing experience, the plating, the sensory flavors, the service is outstanding. Those that appreciate fine dining that innovates and pushes the boundaries of creativity in food will appreciate the amazing foods of California. Not sharing all the pictures because being surprised and seeing it first hand adds to the experience. Thank you all at Enclos for the energy and love you have put into your craft and art.”
