About Us: Tucked away between the coastal mountains of Santa Barbara and Santa Ynez Valley lies the magical Folded Hills, a 600-acre family-owned sustainable farm and working ranch. Farm and exotic animals live alongside acres of organic row crops, vineyards, and fruit orchards. Fifteen acres of organic Grenache, Syrah, Grenache Blanc, Marsanne, and Clairette Blanche are farmed by hand following the biodynamic calendar. Folded Hills wines are small-batch, artisanal wines made with little intervention. This ensures that each vintage expresses that year's unique growing conditions. When you open a bottle of Folded Hills you will truly taste the limestone, the sun, the fog, and the ocean breezes that waft over these folded hills.
“What a great visit! Stopped in spontaneously after the short hike to Nojoqui Falls nearby. Ryan was fantastic and super accommodating to tastes. Didn't mind that we had a rambunctious 5 year old with us, and gave us some carrots to feed the animals. Definitely a hidden gem.”
“This place was so beautiful!!!! They have farm animals and the kids had a blast feeding them. We had a social event about 25 people and everyone was so friendly! The mini pigs and highland cow were so CUTE! the wine was great the setting was beautiful! They even had a brick pizza oven and the kids could make their own pizzas. This place is a date spot for sure! If you go down the road a little more your at Nojoqui Falls a tiny waterfall. Thank you for welcoming all of our military families we appreciate it!”
“Definitely needs to be a stop if you are in the area! We did a tasting here while vacationing in the area and highly recommend. Everyone here is so kind and passionate about their craft- not pretentious at all. The wine is organic and biodynamically farmed, and the flavor profile showcases this beautifully. We enjoyed the wines at our tasting so much we had a case shipped home! We have since joined the Fold membership and can't wait for our first shipment to arrive! Such a fabulous experience.”

“Wow! A HIDDEN GEM!! Beautiful winery, absolutely first class, boutique facility and grounds. Beautiful appointments, decor, and finishes in the lounge and tasting room, beautiful grounds with a gazebo, tables, chairs, game area, you are sitting in the vineyard. AND - for my palate, EXCELLENT WINE!! The staff were friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable about their wines and the history of the ranch. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve driven by this hidden gem on my way up to SLO and Paso Robles. Our group of 3 couples pulled off the road to take a hike to Nojoqui Falls. The road to the trailhead goes right by Folded Hills and we decided to pull in. We met the owner who informed us they were closed for a private event but invited us to picnic right across the road at their barn and menagerie. Great spot!! We snacked with their sheep, goats, piggies, cattle and Clydesdale horses!! The owner brought us a bottle of wine and bucket of carrots for the Clydesdales. We had the best time and stopped by to taste on our way home. DO NOT SLEEP ON THIS FANTASTIC BOUTIQUE WINERY!! Delicious wines, beautiful winery and grounds. Believe me and make it a stop as you travel up the 101!! Enjoy!!”
