“We came for our anniversary for lunch and a wine tasting. Janet was our wine tasting server and was amazing. She made the whole experience better by explaining each wine, answering all of our questions and just being so generally friendly. We also ate lunch, chopped salad, a pizza and orechiette pasta and it was all amazing. The whole day was perfect.”
“Folino Winery offers a spacious tasting room with an attached gift shop and an impressive variety of wines, including Barbera and Cabernet Franc. Amanda, who guided my tasting, was courteous, friendly, and knowledgeable as she poured my selections and chatted about the different profiles. In general, the wines are lighter as compared to California wines. I didn’t have any wine that I didn’t like here. The tasting was $15 and bottles varied from $18 on up. Definitely moderate prices. The day was cloudy and cold, so I didn’t explore the outdoor area, but it looked like a pleasant space for warmer weather. I visited only the tasting room and did not check out the restaurant. I took home a couple of bottles, including one of their sangria-style wines that caught my curiosity. I’m looking forward to pairing it at home and sharing it with guests. Folino is a nice stop if you’re exploring the Jim Thorpe area in the Poconos of Pennsylvania. Thank you for your friendly hospitality!”
“This was an amazing experience. We went as part of our Valentine celebration to experience their charcuterie and wine tasting package. Katie, our host, was a delight. She has a great personality and is very knowledgeable when it comes to the offerings of the Folino Estate. She took time to find out about what we traditionally like when it comes to wines, and offered suggestions for us that not only matched what we described, but also gave us insight into expanding our palette with unique vintages that we might not normally consider. The charcuterie plate was diverse and also sufficient for cleansing the palette in between types of wines. The cheeses and olives were amazing, and the meats were excellent. After each of us having six generous pours of wine we realized we probably should spend some more time at the Estate before heading home, so we decided to have lunch there. That was an excellent decision! I never would have considered a winery as a place for fine dining, but there we were and the food was excellent. I grew up in an Italian household and I have to say that the meals took me back to my childhood (I felt like the food critic in Ratatouille, lo!l). Service continued to be prompt and extremely courteous. Meanwhile, the extensive menu guarantees anyone can find something they'll love. The added bonus of dining there was that it afforded us a discount in their store next door. We were planning to shop there anyway, so this was a nice surprise! Make sure you visit their website in advance for their special events and offerings. Reservations are highly recommended due to their popularity. We will definitely be going back many more times!”
“Elite-worthy impromptu date night 🍷✨ Folino Estate Winery absolutely delivered from start to finish. We jumped into a blind wine tasting featuring six wines—three whites and three reds—complete with a fun guessing sheet that made the experience interactive and playful. Kenzie was a standout host: knowledgeable without being stuffy, engaging, and genuinely passionate about the winery. She shared great insight into the wines and Folino’s story while keeping the tasting relaxed and fun. Huge thanks to her for setting the tone for the night. We stayed for dinner afterward and the food was excellent. From the appetizers to the entrées, everything was delicious and beautifully prepared. Pair that with the stunning scenery and it made for an ideal date-night atmosphere. Shoutout to our waitress Morgan A, who was attentive, friendly, and handled everything with ease and always with a smile. Thoughtful experiences, great service, and a gorgeous setting, this is exactly why Folino Estate earns its Elite stamp. Already looking forward to our next visit 🍷.”
