“This was a real treat. The food was fresh, flavorful, and creative. Unique salad, spectacular hash browns, rich and complex soup, real maple syrup, a sandwich that seemed to combine a croquet madame and a cuban sandwich, and a wonderfully textured dish with feta and corn -- we loved it all! We also really appreciated the kind service, and the atmosphere was relaxed. Overall, just an invigorating experience. Thank you!”
“We loved our time here! We had lunch here when making a quick stop in Providence. The services was fantastic and the staffs were extremely friendly and helpful. The food was amazing and it is one of the best experience we have ever had! Highly recommend!”
“What an incredible meal. Frank & Laurie’s has been on my list for a minute but Franks night even more so. With an original menu every week there’s always a reason to come back. But for my first time, I’m just over the moon with how good it was. The flavor profiles were incredible on all dishes. This is what was ordered for 2 people. Was a little too much but great leftovers. Definitely will go back.”
“Where to start. Was recommended to come here and so glad I did. This is a brunch spot that does dinner on Friday's only. Due to timing decided to come for lunch. Daniel gave excellent service and recommendations. The hash browns were perfectly crisp and tender inside. The deviled eggs were not your typical deviled eggs. The flavor was delightful and unexpected. The star dish is the poached eggs and potatoes !! This one I cannot explain but it works and will try to recreate at home.”
“I went to F&L for brunch. I think there are good things about this place, I don't know if they grant the hype that I have seen/hearing. First, the highs: roasted feta, boiled vinegar potatoes and poached eggs, and the doughnut (!). All really original items, all tasted incredible. I also had the croque madame and the patty melt. This is were my feelings changed. Providence offers tough competition in the sandwich category (There, there, Irregardless, Sandwich Hut, Serendipity, Hudson Deli) and F&L's sandwiches didn't stand out to me. The Croque Madame needed a stronger flavor besides solely the mustard. It could have been a sharper cheese or the pork could have been spiced differently (the pork was also too fatty). The patty could have used more of that good sauerkraut and/or be more "melty." I liked the pancakes, especially the salty touch but I wished they came with more butter. I'm also still in the search for real good traditional pancakes in Providence, but this is a city-wide lack despite having, generally, great food.”
