George’s at the Cove

“This restaurant is all about the amazing location and atmosphere. The beachfront views are absolutely beautiful, making it a perfect place to relax, enjoy the ocean breeze, and spend time with friends or family. The vibe is fun, laid-back, and welcoming, with a great setting for watching the sunset or simply enjoying the scenery. While the food was good, the real highlight for me was the incredible view and overall experience. If you’re looking for a spot with a cool beach atmosphere and a great place to unwind, this is definitely worth a visit.”

“Unfortunately, a beautiful sunny day turned very foggy quickly, so we didn’t get to enjoy the sunset view I had hoped for, but it was still a nice time. I ordered the roasted cauliflower and it was delicious! Two of my friends ordered the linguine clams which were also very good. One of our friends ordered a salad that they ended up not liking and the staff was very accommodating; switching it out for a different salad, which was very appreciated and great service! Would recommend for the location and vibes.”

“Truly delicious! We just ordered drinks and apps (crudo, calamari, parmesan fries) and I can't say enough about how yummy the fish apps were! The drinks were ok, but the wait staff was happy to have them improved or replaced. Such great service, we are totally returning for happy hours!”

“This was an amazing experience! For the appetizer we ordered Tuna Crudo and grilled octopus. Both came with flavorful souses. I especially enjoyed the yellowtail which had finger lime that burst with each bite like a tiny berry. For the main course we ordered locally caught swordfish which was absolutely delicious. My daughter also ordered a citrus salad with steak, which was properly made. The waiter was very attentive and asked if had any food allergies as some items on the menu come with cashews or almonds. The atmosphere was really nice too. There was a nice music playing in the background, not loud. The terrace where we were siting had a nice ocean view overlooking the sunset. George’s at the Coves also has nice deserts. I would say this is one of my favorite restaurants in La Jolla Coves area. If I will be around, I will definitely com back again to try other meals on the menu.”
