“Grand Geneva Golf Course called the Brute was in wonderful condition when I played it May 22. The greens were quick but true (mostly all up hill putts meaning back side of green higher than lower side. The design of the course was enjoyable. Some very challenge holes with water in play but others wide open and bombs away with the driver. Highly recommended if you are in the area looking to play.”
“My fiancée and I recently planned our engagement at Grand Geneva Resort, and the entire experience was absolutely perfect. We chose the Lakeside engagement on a Sunday evening during the fireworks, and it exceeded every expectation we had. A huge thank you to Courtney McMillion, our event coordinator. From the moment I started planning about six weeks ago until the big day, Courtney was incredible. She was professional, responsive, organized, and made the entire process stress-free. No matter what came up, she always delivered and ensured every detail was handled flawlessly. Courtney coordinated all of the vendors for us, including CMAE Photography of Lake Geneva, and everything came together beautifully. If you've seen the photos Grand Geneva shared on their Facebook or Instagram pages, you'll understand just how stunning the setup was. My bride-to-be was completely surprised and absolutely in awe when she saw everything. It was a moment we'll never forget. The flowers were breathtaking as well. There were so many beautiful roses that we were able to bring a large portion of them home, and we now have two vases of roses reminding us of that special night. Grand Geneva created a truly magical experience for us, and we couldn't be more grateful. If you're considering a proposal, engagement, wedding, or special event, I highly recommend Grand Geneva Resort and especially Courtney McMillion. They helped create one of the most memorable nights of our lives.”
“Boots On The Ground Women’s Retreat with Trinity United Church of Christ of Chicago, IL. My best friend of 42 years invited me and we had a blast. The room was awesome. The bed and bedding were so comfortable and cozy. I didn’t want to get up and could not wait to lay down! The restaurants and food were top tier. The staff were professional and friendly. The grounds were absolutely beautiful. The resort paid attention to details and it was evident. There were a lot of amenities on the property (spa, sauna, massage, horse back riding, and golfing). The surrounding area had everything! There were a lot of other businesses and restaurants if you wanted to leave the resort. I had such a good time I joined Trinity United’s mailing list and invited my daughter and three daughters-in-love to attend with me next year.”
“My daughter and I live in the area and went to the spa for massages and facials. I had Dori for my facial and she was amazing! She did a wonderful job. She deserves 5 stars for sure! But our couples massage wasn't great. We asked for the therapeutic deep tissue massage, which requires certain staff I guess and it cost more than the relaxation massage. Both of us were not really satisfied with our massages. They weren't even close to being deep tissue. And beforehand they asked us if we had any certain areas that needed more attention but then they didn't even focus on those areas at all! The staff at the desk and in the ladies lockroom weren't very friendly or inviting. And the ladies that did our massages weren't super friendly either. They weren't unfriendly... Just not what you expect for a high priced spa experience. I didn't feel pampered or special. Dori was great tho! Honestly, if it wasn't for her, my rating would be lower.”
“I called the resort weeks in advance to ask about a guaranteed late checkout for my stay as it was going to be my wedding night and we wouldn’t be getting back until late. I explained I know late checkout is typically not guaranteed, and I understand if they cannot accommodate that, but was calling around to see my options. A very nice manager helped me and told me they will be giving us until 12pm complimentary. She said she would add the note to my file. Awesome! I went ahead and booked the $518 room. We arrive on my wedding night and the front desk says there is no note on the file and asked if I had any way to “prove” that they told me this. I said I can go get my phone I'm pretty sure she left me a voicemail the next day. So then he says “no it’s fine I’ll see what I can find and let you know if we can give you late checkout tomorrow” This is when I start to get frustrated. It’s my wedding night. I called in advance. I would have never booked here if I couldn’t do late checkout. Then a manager comes over and finds the note “hiding” go figure. Then they give me a hotel key that doesn’t work so I got locked out of the hotel at 10 pm with no phone. I had to walk all the way around the building while getting cat called by strange drunk men. Lastly, the room was extremely underwhelming. The AC didn’t work, no microwave, and very small. I’m very disappointed that this is where I chose to spend my wedding night. Overall terrible service from a “luxury resort” that costs this much to stay at.”
