Closed Terrarium Masterclass x Dinky Plants Build a closed terrarium with Clare from Dinky Plants in the beautiful surroundings of Hambledon Wine Estate, whilst enjoying two complimentary glasses of Hambledon's English Sparkling Wine per person throughout the experience. The Safari Experience offers a chance to access parts of the Estate not available on our Public Tours. With just a maximum of 4 people per Safari, this is an unparalleled opportunity to gain an indepth knowledge of Hambledon Wine Estate in the company of one of our knowledgeable and friendly guides. Join us in our branded Land Rover Defender on a Safari around the vineyard. Pick up a tea/coffee on arrival and board The Defender for a drive around the Estate. Your guide will take you through the vine’s growing season, explain the work that takes place at key stages of the year and talk about some of the challenges growing grapes in a cool climate brings. You will enjoy a sparkling aperitif overlooking the vines, before heading up to our gravity fed winery where we explain how we make our award winning sparkling wines, hear how we age our wines in our barrel room, before tasting 3 wines. A 3 course lunch is then served in our elegant, light filled restaurant with views across the vines, accompanied by a glass of Classic Cuvee. The Defender Safari Experience is the epitome of wine tourism at its most elevated, affording privileged access to private areas of the Estate. Hambledon Fire Feast Join us amid the vines at our Windmill Down East vineyard for a long, unhurried afternoon of open fire dining unlike anything else in the English countryside.Our talented chefs will prepare and cook your meal over open Asado flames, the kind of live cooking that fills the air with something you'll smell before you see. The menu draws entirely from the best of local Hampshire produce, with dishes such as hot-smoked chalk stream trout, slow-cooked lamb shoulder and smoked ricotta. Everything is taken care of. Through a combination of tasting and theory, you’ll explore the factors that impact style and quality and learn how to describe these wines with confidence.What you'll learn• How to taste and describe wine using the WSET Level 2 Systematic Approach to Tasting Wine®• How environmental factors, grape-growing, winemaking and maturation options influence the style and quality of wines made from eight principal grape varieties• The style and quality of wines• How grape varieties and winemaking processes influence key styles of sparkling and fortified wines• Key labelling terms used to indicate origin, style and quality• Principles and processes involved in the storage and service of wine• Principles of food and wine pairingTicket Details: £575 per person to include all course materials, 16 hours of guided study time, all tasting samples (approximately 43 wines), study materials, lunch (dietary requirements must be communicated at the time of booking) and exam fees. WSET Level 3 Award in Wines Qualification - Autumn 2026 Course Dates: The classes will take place on six consecutive Saturday sessions – 26th September, 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th and 31st October 2026.WSET Level 3 Award in Wines is an advanced level qualification for professionals working in the wine industry and for wine enthusiasts. For individuals seeking to delve deeper into the world of wines, this qualification provides a detailed understanding of grape growing and wine making. Upon completion you will be able to assess wines accurately, and use your understanding to confidently explain wine style and quality. Course DeliveryThis qualification has a minimum requirement of 84 hours of study time, including 30 hours of classroom time with a WSET course provider. The course will be taught at Hambledon Wine Estate, Hambledon, Hampshire PO4 7RY. The course will run for 6 consecutive Saturdays beginning on Saturday 26th September 2026, between 09:00 and 17:00. Ticket Details£1,150 per person to include all course materials, 30 hours of guided study time, all tasting samples (approximately 70 wines), study materials, lunch (dietary requirements must be communicated at the time of booking) and exam fees. ISO tasting glasses are provided for the duration of the Course. Cancellation & Refund PolicyWe operate a no refund policy on all our WSET Courses.
