“We stopped here for pizza on our long journey home from the lake district. Impressive building to eat in, with amazing views. The room itself was really nicely decorated in a modern way. The menu is full of pizzas with interesting toppings. Both our pizzas were really good. Lovely dough and plenty of toppings, a pleasure to eat. Service was very friendly and efficient, and the prices were good. Will happily stop here again for food when we next go to the lake district!”
“We visited Rind for lunch, keen to try their pizza and were not disappointed! The use of their own cheeses make unique flavours compared to your regular pizza selections. I had the blue cheese and pear which was incredible, my husband had the margarita, which although simple, was beautifully Mediterranean in taste. I didn't have dessert as they contain gelatine which I choose not to eat. Top ingredients are used, the drinks on offer are different to the norm too (in a good way), lovely setting and space between tables, which we needed for our dog. We will be back for half price Monday!”
“I’m going to struggle to fault this place. I love cheese and this is a serious “temple” to cheese. The cheese shop and restaurant are separate and there’s also a small bakery and wine shop on site. I had 3 separate cheeses each came with its own accompaniment. The accompaniments may seem quirky but all mine worked with the cheese they came with. My favourite was “young buck” which came with a slice of Parkin, yes Parkin. It worked so well. 10/10. We had 3 cheeses each and they along with the crackers and an additional portion of Wholemeal sourdough and whipped butter were enough for a reasonably substantial lunch. The restaurant also does pizzas and these looked great. Once you’ve finished your lunch you can peruse the cheese shop which sells just about everything you need cheese wise. This is definitely somewhere I’ll be going back to. If you like cheese I guarantee you won’t be disappointed. ***one small criticism. When you order a cup of tea (£3.50 from memory)you get a cup of hot water with a teabag on the saucer. It looks a bit “downmarket” for such a nice setup. I’d present it in a small teapot, it would look so much better.”
“The pizza was stunning! The base had such a lovely flavour. We stopped off here for a break from driving to our holiday and wow I'm so glad we did! Great service, especially from the person who served us who had bright rosy cheeks. Lovely views here as well. It was so nice that we came back on the way home as well.”
“The food was great, but you have to like your cheese - picky kids aren’t always catered for, and the classics aren’t on the menu or available on request. Desserts are either cheese or alcohol themed, no strawberry or chocolate ice cream for the kids. Fine if they like vanilla though. The panna cotta was delicious but missing a berry of some sort. Service was friendly but very slow and not attentive at all. We had to attract attention for drinks, food, then to clear the plates - but they brought the bill rather than clearing the plates - I wanted a dessert which needed another couple of flags, and the bill was left with us for ages till we finally went up and paid at the till on the way out. Atmosphere was ok but we were sat next to two very loud families with kids who kept throwing then retrieving things under our feet. Tasty if you can bear the slow pace and don’t want to deviate from the set menu.”
