“Wow - what a great showcase for British cheese in a fun and accessible experience. We had no idea that it was there and stumbled across it in Camden Market. Super friendly with great service, with all cheese dishes being delicious! We had a fab time!”
“Went there with my friend two weeks ago, the cheese and pairing choices were amazing, never thought I could have so much fun eating cheese. What made it special is the cozy and chill vibe of the restaurant and of coz the nicest staff members. It is just the right scale, not too crowded and we were able to chat while also having so great background music. It is less touristy like the one at Covent Garden but more like your favourite neighbourhood hangout. Love it.”
“Repeat visit and Pick & Cheese was even better than we remembered. Birthday last year, Valentine's Day 2026 and still the most memorable dining experience. First, the food. Obviously if you don't like or can't eat cheese, this isn't for you, but the plates are delectable. Whoever came up with the combinations is a genius! Brie and Sauerkraut, Cheddar with an oatcake and marmalade, Welsh blue cheese and a chocolate hazelnut brownie (Our favourite for both visits). each plate is perfectly composed and large enough to share between 2 meaning you can try everything, we also got a cheese and onion toastie which was Chef's kiss. Unlimited water and delicious artisan crackers and plates range from £4.35 to £6.55 for the dessert options and both are incredible, the yoghurt, lemon, honey and gingerbread cheesecake is the best cheesecake we have ever eaten. We booked for 3.30 and didn't eat before and didn't eat again until the nest day as we were perfectly full. Wine is available from £7.50 a glass upwards, non-alcoholic drinks start at £4.50 for a Fritz Kola which may seem steep but smacks Coca Cola in the head with flavour and is reasonable for the locale. Portions may look small on the belt but are more than enough. Second, the ambiance. It's a delightful respite from the hustle and bustle of Camden Market (Side note, if you have to wait, heartily recommended Ester at Unit 89 just down the way, 2 for 1 cocktails, a large array of beers and ciders on tap and bar games). Seating is around the conveyor belt and you can watch plates be made, and engaging with staff and fellow diners is part of the experience. you get given a menu with a pencil so you tick off what you had and each plate has a cheese score ranging from 1 - mild like brie to 3 - think epoisse or stilton so you can work your way up or down. Honestly loved this part of it, felt like Pokemon and catching them all. And thirdly the staff who truly make this the experience it is. Second visit and delighted to see Marisa who gave me a hug. Hardik was on the floor and was amazing and Hamiel made the plates before us like a showman. Menu's list the staff names working there as well as the farms and artisans who make the cheese so you can feel the artisan nature of it all, and the lit map on the wall shows you the regions the cheese you are eating came from. As it was Valentine's, all female diners were given a rose which was a lovely touch. They also have merch, socks and tote bags if you are so inclined. Both times we have been there, they have given us cheese related postcards promoting British Cheese which is a lovely touch. Maybe you can tell but I really love this place. My partner wanted to give a tip but was asked to leave a review instead so here it is. already planning on my third visit in the next month as more people need to know about this delightful place. Total cost for 2 was £70, £9 for drinks and around 13 plates between 2 people.12.5% for gratuity is included but well worth it as service is impeccable. Again, run, don't walk to Pick & Cheese”
“Went here for lunch with a friend, it was a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Amazing cheeses with some great pairings that you wouldn’t expect to work but tasted amazing. The staff Marisa and Enri were very attentive, especially as my friend has an allergy they took the time to inform us what she couldn’t have on the menu. If there was anything we wanted from the menu but was not on the conveyor belt they were happy to make a plate. This place definitely deserves 5 stars.”
“SAY CHEESE 🧀✨ 📍 Pick & Cheese, Camden Market ⭐️ 5/5 💸 ££ 🍴Hidden inside the vibrant #Camden Market, @thecheesebar.uk’s Pick & Cheese is a true gem for cheese lovers. Set within a stunning Grade II-listed stables block, it’s an unexpectedly peaceful little haven💫 Their #Bottomless Plates every Wednesday is the stuff of dreams 🧀✨ endless cheese plates rolling by on a conveyor belt, each bite better than the last. We tried about six each (don’t judge 😋), and every single one was a hit. Here are my absolute favourites cheese plates: 🩷 plate: #Truffled Baron Bigod – Brie-style heaven with black truffle & British cream cheese. Deep, rich & totally addictive. 🤍plate: Cornish #Gouda – Caramel-sweet, nutty, and smooth. A total comfort cheese. 🩶 plate: Cornish #Kern – Firm, buttery, and nutty with Alpine-style depth. 🩷 plate: #Cremet – Double cream & goat’s milk perfection, paired with strawberry jam 🍓 — pure decadence! 💙 plate: Perl Las – A stunning soft #Welsh blue from Carmarthenshire, beautifully balanced between sweet, savoury, and creamy, paired with a Chocolate Hazelnut #Brownie 🍫 — an unexpected combo that totally works. And of course, I couldn’t leave without my classic Onion & #Cheddar Sandwich 🧅🧀 — golden, melty, and iconic every single time. All perfectly paired with a glass of orange wine TRAMINER from Judith Beck – Burgenland, Austria — crisp, aromatic, and made for cheese lovers. Cheese dreams do come true, and they live right here in Camden!”
