Organic, naturally-leavened, wood-fired pizza along with natural wine, local spirits and beer. Rooftop patio with Rocky Mountain views.
“Both pizzas (and the Caesar salad I didn't get a pic of) were fantastic. Very good sourdough crust, and toppings were all top notch. The Elote pizza was as delicious as it was unique. I would definitely recommend it! The pepperoni and pepper pizza was really good, too. The jalapeños were pickled fresh cut, not regs cooked pickled like the type on nachos. Very good idea.”
“Joy Hill is a great addition to South Broadway and quickly became one of my favorite spots. They focus on woodfired sourdough pizza made with a starter brought from Brooklyn and high quality ingredients, and you can taste the difference. The pizzas are well balanced and thoughtfully made. One of the highlights is their lunch special, which includes a pizza, house salad, and a bottle of wine. It’s a great value and makes it easy to try a few things. The space is also worth mentioning. The rooftop patio has beautiful mountain views, and there are plenty of areas to sit, work, or relax. The frosé was also a standout and a perfect addition to the meal. Overall, a really strong spot with great food, a welcoming atmosphere, and a setup that makes you want to come back often.”
“Great restaurant- food is all locally sourced and made in house. The menu has a good variety of options without being overwhelming. The atmosphere is great, lots of space and alien themed stuff. My favorite thing were the UFO light fixtures above the bar. Service was excellent. I will have to go back on a nice day because they have an amazing patio out back that has excellent views.”
“4.5/5, rounded up! Overall a very very good meal and will be back! The pizza rolls are a 10/10, and the sandwich was delightful. The only two things I would change were that the focaccia could definitely use some olive oil (a bit dry, see picture) and the frose portion size was painfully small (pictured). Service was great!”
“Had pretty decent expectations given the Word-of-Mouth but sadly, this did not live up to the hype. Nothing wrong with service, nice atmosphere but the food leaves much to be desired. We ordered the pepperoni rolls, bison meatballs, and prosciutto & burrata pizza. As the apps came out, they looked fine and tasted decent but one piece of pepperoni in each roll was foreshadowing what was to come of the pizza. The pizza came out not 30 seconds after the apps...odd timing (it's 6pm on a Thursday so not busy). Trying to capitalize on the freshness of the pizza, we dive in but hidden within the forest of arugula was a sliver of prosciutto. To add some mystery, the minimal sauce that was on the pizza was...cold? I get it. I've worked in restaurants since I was 15 so I know that product can vary but charging $25 for an "artisanal pizza" with this result is kind of jaw dropping. Taste is fine but make sure the toppings/filling warrant the price.”
