Welcome to Havana! A rum-and-tequila oasis serving pan-Latin and Cuban-American cuisine, exotic Caribbean cocktails and the best mojitos in Chicago.
“It was super nice. Music wasn't too loud, but in the background. The food was great. Servers were very friendly.”
“This place is fantastic. I was here alone, sat at the bar. The vibe is lively without being overwhelming. Upbeat music that’s loud enough to set the mood but not so loud you’re yelling to talk. I orders the ceviche, it was delicious. It came in a bowl with a spoon, and tortilla chips and plantains on the side. I far prefer this over ceviche plated directly on a tostada. Let’s you decide the scoop. The entree was a Jalea De Mariscos. The coconut flavor was there, but not overpowering. Big portion. Lots of delicious seafood. It also didn’t have too much rice. Sometimes these types of dishes have too much rice and too few proteins. This is reversed. Rice was the side, seafood the main show. Will be back!”
“This loungy Cuban restaurant is located in the bustling River North neighborhood of Chicago, but once you step off the busy street you immediately feel at ease. I had the tostones and the carne asada, which was very reasonably priced - I have paid much more for quite a bit less, in quantity and quality, at less impressive restaurants in Indianapolis. I ordered my carne to be cooked medium and it came out tender and delicious. I suggest ordering the rice and beans "congrí", the combination is superior in my opinion. The vibe inside was visually refined and channeling a distinctly Cuban esthetic, filled with lively conversation and energy. The only negative I could possibly point out is the tiny bathroom in the basement with a problematic entry and stall door configuration 😅🤣 But don't let that stop you! I loved this place!”
“Some of the best Cuban food! Enjoyed mojitos and a few outstanding dishes. Every dish we ordered was delicious, savory and bursting with flavor. The portions sizes were more than enough. It was so good, we left empty plates. Menu has a large selection of dishes. Try the Churassco, Vieja Roja and the Cuban Pork. Closed out with coffee and the coconut flan for dessert. The staff was very friendily and attentive. Atmosphere is cozy, warm and calm. Highly recommend you stop in for lunch or dinner.”
“Totally overpriced. A steak costs around $35, but the problem is that the size of the plate and the sides are small. For example, on my steak, it came with 2 Yuka pieces and 2 small banana slices. For a little bit more, you can go to a Brazilian restaurant and do one all you can eat. Service was ok and atmosphere was too noisy. Service was ok and the atmosphere was too noisy.”
