“What a 5 star experience from start to finish. First of all, the outdoor seating is fantastic. I don’t even know what the place looks like inside. We showed up as a group of 4. Took the waitress recommendation and ordered 8 different plates to share amongst the table. The food came out in waves. Every dish was incredible. Even dishes that didn’t sound amazing before ordering ended up blowing us away. If you’re on the fence about something on the menu, just get it. It’ll probably surprise you. Save room for dessert. The panna cotta is worth every single penny.”

“If you’re looking for a true 5-star fine dining experience in Benton Harbor, Michigan, this is absolutely the place to go. It’s such a hidden gem — everything about it is amazing. From the ambiance to the waitstaff, bartenders, and chefs… the service is top-notch across the board. I highly recommend sitting at the bar if you want a great show. I did, and I got to watch the chefs carefully craft each dish and the bartenders mix drinks with real artistry. It honestly felt like watching the Food Network live. You can tell they take pride in delivering high-quality food with complex, perfectly balanced flavors. We ordered the chili jam shrimp, the duck carnitas relleno, the Duroc pork chop, and of course the bread and butter. Nothing we tried was ordinary — every single dish blew us away. We finished with the chocolate milk bread pudding for dessert (tastes like a brownie and bread pudding had a baby, and they make the rum raisin ice cream in house with golden raisins), and our drinks were light, refreshing, and just as well-crafted as the food. I really could go on .. you just gotta try it. I’m literally still sitting at the bar writing this review and already planning my next visit — I know exactly what I want to try next time. Highly, highly recommend. Don’t sleep on this hidden gem in downtown Benton Harbor! FYI I'm from Benton Harbor and am really a stickler about good food 😁”

“Wow! Fantastic experience at Houndstooth. It's the type of meal you don't want to end, and hold off finishing that last delicious bite. Very creative ingredients with layered flavors that hit perfectly. It's a splurge meal. A special occasion delight. I can't say enough about the service. Ava was our server. Pleasant and efficient. Each dish came out minutes after we finished the previous one, and dirty plates were replaced promptly. Selections were explained as they were placed in front of us. We were lucky enough to sit at the counter close to the bartender and his skill was something to behold.”

“I sure hope people in this area realize what a gem of a restaurant is in their backyard. I grew up here but live in Atlanta, and if Houndstooth were there, we would be dining here weekly. What an outstanding dinner. We tried six dishes for the three of us, and it was plenty of food. The flavors & creativity were of the charts.
