“Nice quiet tasting room! We sat outside with our dog. Really great service, very knowledgeable, and the tasting came with food pairings. Half of us did the wine tasting flight and the other half did the port tasting flight. We were all impressed.”

“Absolutely love Hunt Cellars and the amazing people who work here. Some of the best reds and Tawny Ports I’ve had in a long time. We are now wine club members and visit at least once per month. Hunt Cellars also has monthly BBQ bites events, which we love to attend. There is usually live music then and the vibe is casual/fun overall. I definitely recommend to everyone I know who loves wine and a great wine tasting experience.”
“The tasting itself delicious. The wines are amazing and the taste pairing of the chocolates and cheese/crackers is such a nice touch. The spot has an outdoor area overlooking the beautiful neighborhood vineyards as well. And the winery itself has a lovely story. We tried the port wine flight (a rarity) and it was fantastic. We’ve spent time in Porto which is where port wines originate from and this place held its ground. The vibe of the room itself is great, lovely farmhouse feel! My reason for the two stars less (and I’m confirmed it was two stars less and not one) is more to do with the tasting room associate. I rarely give less than 5 stars but some of her comments (mix of mildly racist and sexist and we are a brown couple) made me pause for sure. Then it was topped of by the fact that she hurried us through a barely 40 min tasting (standard is 90 mins and she just hovered with the next bottle in hand until we gulped down the current one) and also didn’t leave us alone for more than 5 mins (even after we gave her plenty of hints by switching to our mother-tongue and speaking directly to each other but she interrupted us anyways). Additionally she didn’t disclose that we couldn’t use the restrooms until after we had already started the tasting. Altogether if it hadn’t been for the associate we would have a strong recommendation for this place but maybe it’ll be better to go when it’s busier.”
“If you have a large group, call ahead of time. We visit the Paso Robles area every summer. This winery became our family favorite many years ago. We've visit every year for as long as I remember. We really hit it off with the wine server the first time we visited, so eventually it became our go to winery when we visit, and we purchase several bottles to take back home every year. Usually it's me, my wife and our adult children. Last summer, my two nieces, two sisters and their significant others decided to join us on our yearly trip to the central coast, which includes stopping at Hunt Cellars. Now in hindsight I should have called to make sure they could accommodate a large group, but since it's a place we visited every year, it completely slipped my mind. They did accommodate us, but they couldn't have been more unwelcoming. Specifically the lady with some kind of European accent. While she did serve us, she would also make comments to the other server complaining about the size of our group, making these comments loud enough for us to hear. It was very embarrassing for me, since I was the one who told my family about this place. At the conclusion of our wine tasting session, we each purchased several bottles, but I was so disappointed and insulted.”
