“Such a special Valentine’s Day dinner! We were seated in a completely private room, beautifully decorated. Each course was clearly prepared with a great deal of care and attention, with quality ingredients. Our favourite dish was the A5 Ribeye served over yam rice. Portions are small, but the dishes are well balanced. The experience was very elevated. They also gave us roses as we left, which I found to be a thoughtful touch! The chef as well spoke with us afterwards and shared his love for Kyoto. Bonus points for location - we had the chance to explore the Japanese Cultural centre before our dinner.”

“Absolutely amazing experience. For 3.5 hours, it felt like my wife and I stepped back into Kyoto and reimmersed in the culture. Every single dish was a work of art with amazing quality and authentic Japanese ingredients. The service was immaculate and you can tell that customer service and the preservation of the Japanese culture are their key priorities. Our main hostess (I believe her name was Iori) and K the main chef spent time with us explaining every single dish and taught us a lot about the Japanese culture. It was the best birthday celebration for my wife! Highly recommend!”

“One of the best restaurant experiences of my almost half a century in this planet. Had been dreaming of going for years, since my trip to Kyoto and a meal here is like going to Kyoto for the evening. The decor is incredibly beautiful, as are the dishes and the service. The staff are charming and elegant. Each course was a feast for the eyes and the taste buds. We especially enjoyed the broths and we were able to ask the chef about them when he came to talk to us after the meal. We appreciated everything about the meal and will remember it for the rest of our lives. If you can afford it, do not delay. It was worth every penny.”

“The restaurant provided private rooms for each group. The waitresses wear traditional kimono and warmly greeted us by the door and guided us to our room. Then the the seven course meal was served with a detailed explanation of the ingredients used and uniqueness of each dish. The peace was slow that enabled us to thoroughly savor the dishes. We also got to meet the chef and had a delightful conversation about the food and his inspiration. We had a wonderful night.”
