Kanji Sushi

“My husband and I had a wonderful experience at Kanji Sushi last night. It was raining when we arrived, and the manager kindly let me in through a locked side door - a small gesture that immediately set the tone for the evening. Our waitress, Haley, was fantastic : friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful with food recommendations. The food was perfect - the Citrus Tuna & Avocado salad was fresh and bright, Chef Tai’s Spicy Tuna Roll had just the right kick, and the nigiri was beautifully prepared. From thoughtful service to great food and ambiance, this place gets it right, highly recommend - we will be back.”

“I visited earlier today before heading back home and was pleasantly surprised at how nice this restaurant was. It felt very upscale. There was no wait as we got there before the dinner crowd. Our server Stanley was very attentive and friendly. I had the teriyaki chicken and it was delicious. The portion was generous and the ingredients were very fresh. My daughter had the tuna salad and gyoza. We were in College Station for a basketball game so I'm not sure when we will return, but if we do, we are most definitely coming back here! Pricing was fair and the food presentation was excellent.”

“The food was so flavorful. I was watching the chef and sous chefs plate the dishes and you could just tell they put their whole heart into what they do. The servers were super sweet, friendly and easy to talk to. Great vibes all around.”

“This place is a true high-end sushi spot—you absolutely need to plan ahead and secure a reservation, as it books up quickly. The seafood is impeccably fresh and bursting with flavor, and the green tea crème brûlée is out-of-this-world delicious. It's the perfect creamy, caramelized finish to an amazing meal!”

“We went for lunch on a weekday and it was very empty. The tempura was delicious and well executed. The sushi rolls tasted fresh and looked beautiful, but the flavors were a bit much and muddled. We got the sashimi special, bream. It was good but not $18 for 2 thin slices of sashimi good. I got the matcha creme brulee and it was absolutely amazing. I could eat that all day!! Our server was very nice and I would have given her a higher rating and tip but she disappeared in the back along with almost all the staff for a very long time at one point in the meal, so that was a little frustrating. Overall the food and atmosphere was very nice and I would return and recommend.”
