“What a lovely experience! We didn’t have reservations and were a party of 5. The host worked some things around to seat us. Our server Eli was so knowledgeable and professional. They have such a wonderful variety of things to choose from. The food was delicious as were the drinks and the house made cheesecake was divine! They were truly appreciative of us coming in and patronizing their restaurant. We will be back!”
“Had a great time sitting at the bar with a party of 4. Our server Nick was very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious - fresh fish and creative flavors. Nice ambiance in an intimate restaurant.”
“An unfortunate experience. This restaurant is probably just fortunate that people don’t know the food could be better. We really looked forward to enjoying many of the items on the menu but the restaurant was so busy we ordered Takeout; Agedashi Tofu, Hamachi Kama, salmon nigiri, tempura etc. What was served as the Agedashi Tofu was absolutely not how this dish is typically prepared. Fried, thin slices of firm tofu? The batter was hard and chewy. The soup base for the tofu and the dipping sauce for the Tempura were in confusing containers for the portion sizes needed. We ordered two servings of rice; what we received was a portion enough for one bowl and it had soy sauce on parts of the rice, like it was leftover rice or had been used for something else. The order of Rainbow Roll had been packaged to-go, but someone drizzled Soy Sauce on top so when we got home (5 minutes away) the rice was all soggy, and the rolls fell apart. The Hamachi Kama was decent - I’d say a little dry but it had good flavor. The most disappointing was the Nigiri which had most likely been prepared hours in advance but left out without being covered, so the fish was dried out and had no rich umami flavor. Overall, incredibly disappointing especially for the $200 price point our order totaled. I’d strongly recommend taking better care of your ingredients, packing orders to go properly so they arrive fresh and not soggy. I’d rethink the Agedashi tofu dish and please use medium-firm tofu… If someone orders rice please don’t pour soy sauce on top.”
“Not only do they charge you to make a reservation and their website states it will be applied to your bill. This was not the case and In addition, they never refunded the reservation fee either. they also charge customers for using credit or debit cards to pay their bill. The server comes over, rattles off a few specials, then leaves and comes back and ask that you fill out the piece of paper on the table to tell them what you would like to order, so essentially, you're taking your own order and writing it down and they just handed to the kitchen. The only service provided is when they ask you what you want to drink and when they drop your food at the table. The quality has rapidly declined on the food and service this will be our last time eating at this establishment.”
“Extremely disappointed with this place. The prices are way overrated $35 for a small bowl of salmon poke with just a couple of deep-fried chips on the side. The poke itself was missing any real flavor or seasoning, just plain fish tossed together with no balance or freshness to the taste. And to make it worse, there was no rice which makes no sense, since poke traditionally comes served over rice, especially at that price point. The sushi rice we did try in the rolls was honestly the worst I’ve ever had. Completely dry, undercooked, and flavorless. Sushi rice is the foundation of good sushi it should be soft, slightly sticky, and melt in your mouth with that perfect hint of vinegar. This had none of that. My partner ordered a ramen bowl, and that wasn’t any better. The broth was undersalted and flat, lacking depth or umami. The only thing we could taste was the aftertaste of fatty, slow-cooked pork and not in a pleasant way. For the prices they’re charging, the quality and flavors are nowhere near worth it. There are plenty of other sushi spots that actually care about balance, flavor, and proper preparation this place, sadly, isn’t one of them.”
