A sweet cafe, with European charm, California-Belgian cuisine with an emphasis on local, and some of the warmest wait staff out there.
“Is this a Black Bear Huge portion style breakfast place, nope!!! But after walking in the morning taking the beautiful morning beach breeze and the scenery, this place is just what you need. This is not your typical place, you will not find stacks of Pancackes or omelets or huge size portions, this is breakfast with class. The Benedict eggs were good, but if youre not used to poached runny eggs and fancy potatoes, there are other choices that will be better. If anyone knows their waffle recipe, please for the love of God; tell me!!!! Their waffles are their best item for sure. Light, crispy, sweet, crunchy edges waffles with fresh fruit and syrup. I will drive from Corona right now just to enjoy them again!!! Their options are not typical breakfast items so if you're ready to experiment and try new flavors and are willing to try new non traditional breakfast, this is a good place for you. The staff girls are amazing, super friendly and ready to explain the items so dont be shy and don't let the dish descriptions intimidate you, just ask! Please be patient and be ready to wait for availability. Leave the plants alone and respect the servers.”
“I went here for Mother’s Day brunch and everything was AMAZING. I had passed by this place so many times and finally decided to try it and I’m so glad I did. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was beautiful, and the whole experience was just perfect. You can really tell they care about quality and service. This officially became my new favorite spot and I’ll definitely be a regular from now on!”
“Little Lion is small but mighty neighborhood gem in Ocean Beach, San Diego. The food was tasty and the service was excellent. I had the turkey and bacon sandwich and my daughter had the sausage bowl - both were delicious! The prices are moderate and they have a pleasantly eclectic menu. The place is small so there may be a wait, but it is worth it...”
“This was our first stop for food while visiting San Diego. Everything was delicious and fresh! The garlic herb burger was unforgettable. The place is charming and unique, and everything tasted very clean. Highly recommended.”
“Don’t let the name fool you, or the lack of other restaurants in the area. This place is charming, cute and they have a great little menu and wine list. Small inside with several tables outside. And yes, it’s steps away from incredible views and sunsets.”
