Now here’s a place whose name gets right down to basics: “Mangiabevi” means “eat [and] drink” — and that’s what you’ll do with pleasure at Mario Querio’s and Stefano Pecoraro’s rustic-modern-looking Sterling Heights trattoria. The menu changes often, but the fare is always authentic Italian with a contemporary touch. #neverthesamealwaysgood
“Love Mangiabevi so much I decided to have my bridal shower here! The perfect space for intimate events. Service is always 10/10 as are the drinks and food. Best cannolis around!”
“I’m from Italy and this is one of the best Italian restaurant in Detroit area. The owner is Italian, very nice person. And the food was delicious with very Italian flavors! The kitchen door was open and you can see inside how clean everything is and organized! Excellent food and excellent service!”
“Go. No really, go there. It's a 7/5 stars. The food is off the charts. This is real food. If you can't do a trip overseas, this is what it tastes like! Edit: DO reserve a spot. They don't try to pack every spot with a seat, so you should plan in advance. They make it simple enough and the confirmation email is as warm as their greetings. This restaurant is up there with ones in Japan and France. The people here care DEEPLY about their food and service. The atmosphere is like a countryside eatery, so you don't have to dress to the nines, but business casual or semi-formal works fine. The food is beyond the beyond. We had the zucchini flowers (fried cougarettes) which had layers of cheese in them and were utterly delightful. We also tried the tableside carbonara. It was fun and pleasant, but the mezze maniche norcina was stunning! My friend had the flounder mugnaia and it was everything you could ask for from such a light, delicate fish. If you aren't familiar, it's a bit like winter-caught yellow perch. We finished by sharing the grand mariner cannoli, the chocolate hazelnut ganache, and the dessert of the day, an olive oil orange sponge cake served with a sweet and tangy balsamic vinegrette reduction. I'll let the pictures talk for me. Go and be happy.”
“Met one of the owners in tashmoo distillery and he recommended we stop by. The food, service, and staff are amazing. Great place for a date and good food. I rarely 5 star, this is one of them.”
“Had a gift card and decided to try it for our anniversary dinner. Truly a great experience and food was delicious. Our waiter was fantastic at explaining the menu and his recommendations based on our preferences. Food was paced extremely well and was truly delicious. Try the table side carbonara!! They will do it as a side (intermezzo) or an entree. I think this place is more for those looking for a special date night or occasion and I wouldn’t recommend taking young children.”
