“Definitely a good place for a relaxed Spanish small-plates dinner, especially if you are not rushing and want wine or sherry to be part of the meal. The best part of Morcilla for me was the slow bar-dinner rhythm: charcuteria, amontillado, and then the arroz con pitu de caleya. The arroz takes time, but the chicken was juicy, tender, and deeply flavored; the rice is salt-forward, so I would eat the chicken and rice together rather than treating the rice as a side. Will be here next time for the trout~”

Dining here is always a memorable experience - service is warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. I’ve never had to wait for a table. I do recommend making reservations in advance because they have limited seating.”

“Easily, hands down one of the best meals I’ve had in the city. The waitress was extremely knowledgeable and helpful and every course we got was absolutely amazing, even things you wouldn’t typically order. 10/10 will be back as much as possible. The ribs, mussel dish, an oxtail dish absolute highlights.”

“Delicious. The fried artichokes with anchovies aioli was fabulous...they were crisp with softness inside and the perfect level of acid to elevate them---a must get. The boquerones were delicious with good anchovy taste that was augmented with lemon. The potato chips were very flavorful and salty offering a nice contast.Though much acclaimed the oxtail were my least favorite, not because they weren't tender (they were fork tender) but to me they tasted like red wine (likely the cooking liquid)of which I'm not a fan, but the way they were prepared could not be faulted. The mussels were fabulous. I loved the airy baguette with the leek aioli giving a flavor pop. For me it made the typically boring mussel, exciting. The pulpa à la plancha was perfectly cooked with tender octopus. For me it could have used a touch of acid/salt, but was still delicious. The potato fondué was perfectly creamy and flavorful without being too heavy. Then the grapefruit pomegranate sorbet was the perfect end--another must. It was bitter and sweet with pomegranate arils offering delightful pops of flavor that went incredibly with the sabayon.”

“I came here for my birthday dinner and overall had a really nice experience. The space is cozy, and the food was excellent. We ordered the charcutería and the short rib, and both were absolutely delicious. Very reminiscent of our time in Barcelona. The only small letdown was the churros, which were a bit doughy for my personal taste. Our waitress was wonderful and took great care of us throughout the evening. One thing to keep in mind is parking. While there is street parking on Butler, many of the surrounding streets are quite dark. We arrived for our 6:00 PM reservation and had to park about two blocks away, which felt a bit secluded after sunset. I’d recommend planning ahead or arriving earlier, especially if you’re visiting alone.”
