“This was the best place to celebrate our 42 anniversary. The atmosphere is wonderful and small. The menu is new every day bases on the fresh foods they are able to get. This is a most do if you are visiting ir live in the Columbia SC area.”
“We celebrated our anniversary here and it was a very enjoyable experience! The dishes are more unique and a refreshing change from things you might usually find on the menu at other restaurants. We had the Seared S. C. Wahoo, Chesire Farm's Pork Chop, and Sweet Potato Gnocchi. The gnocchi may have been my favorite. I think one thing that would ve been a bonus is if we were also given bread and butter for the table, but I'm just a really big bread and butter fan. I would definitely recommend Motor Supply Co Bistro and would also return in the future!”
“Excellent food choices. Next time plan to eat my way through the starter menu. The mussels and broth were cooked to perfection. The side bread was amazing. The wine selection was on point. I also had the SC sword fish entre’ which was excellent. Dessert was tasty along with hot coffee. I definitely will be back! Thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience.”
“This was my first visit. I had a 7:30 reservation and arrived 30 minutes early. Seated by 7:15. Our waiter Marcus, was quite pleasant and provided great feedback of our meal choice. He was quick and attentive. For our first course, we had local beet salad and mussels. Absolutely delicious!!! For the entree we had the swordfish replacement, Tilefish ( because they sold out of the swordfish). We’ve never heard of Tilefish and it was a great choice!!The shrimp and grits was delicious and savory. The only thing we were not to happy with was the cold air coming from the patio. It was a rather cool night. It was hard to relax because we were cold, sadly. I’m sure the atmosphere would have been better if we were not so cold. The parking is extremely tight and small so expect to possibly park on the street or use the valet parking. Overall, I would return again.”
“First time here during early dinner service on a Saturday. Marcus was our server and he was friendly and attentive. I ordered the lamb and ricotta tortellini for my first course, and it was not only delicious, but beautifully plated. For my second course, I went with the recommended steak and have to say, it was underwhelming. It was cooked to my requested temperature, but had a lot of fat and gristle, and wasn’t at all tender. I wish I had picked something else. I paired it with the Bodegas Tempranillo, which was excellent. For dessert I can never resist a crème brûlée so I went with that. Also delicious. My table mate enjoyed his mixed green salad, and shrimp and grits entree. Though my entree could’ve been better, I would still go back, and choose something different next time.”
