Nixtaco is a quality-focused retail specialty taquería, locally owned since 2015. Nixtaco is committed to sourcing and using the finest ingredients while preserving traditional technique. We’re proud to have started this venture in the Sacramento region, California’s capital, where lingo like “farm to fork”, local, sustainable, and organic have become so mainstream they convey nothing new. We do what we do, not because it's a fad and everybody's on the bandwagon, but because it's the right way and we believe in it. “Taco Tuesday was ON POINT! Amazing tacos that were served lightning fast! The super friendly staff provided great service. Nixtaco might be my new favorite taco spot! Make sure to get the carnitas, the pork belly and the Chefs Secret smoked beef tacos that are NOT on the menu.”
“My mom got me a gift card since I'm new to the area and she had heard about this place online. Service was fantastic. Super friendly, we were greeted the second we walked in. Our server check on us actively and respectfully. The restaurant was clean, and had indoor and outdoor seating. The variety of taco options was plentiful, ended up ordering 5 different tacos. Happy hour offered several discounts. will definitely plan to come back to try more! Thank you for the wonderful meal.”
“Service tonight was 10 out of 10! I cannot say enough about the service. Water glasses were never empty. Waiter came back multiple times to check on the table. You do not want for anything! Ordered the shrimp Mazatlin taco, short rib taco and pollo de salsa verse taco. All were excellent. Pink Panther cocktail was very good. Chris place is a hidden gem!”
“With presentation reminiscent of fine dining in the taco world, they offer a wide variety of taco options, making it a lot of fun to choose. Overall, it has a premium feel and a unique flavor profile that sets it apart from traditional Mexican tacos. BUT, aside from a few standout items, it isn’t particularly memorable. I personally recommend the octopus taco. Also, the prices are a bit on the higher side.”
“First time coming to the restaurant. Had a decent visit but had a few hiccups. The food was good. The restaurant is all ala carts which is fine, but price can tick up fast. I had the Nashville hot chicken taco which tasted great. The carne asada I had was very tender and decent flavor. I chose to upgrade my tortillas to flour which I think is a must do. Food is also ready very fast.”
