“Excellent vibes, amazing team, welcoming people. Baby friendly as well. We had a great time! Thanks for a great dinner experience. Oysters were fresh and delicious. Prosecco was sparkling! The pastas were excellent. They were even able to sautee delicious mushrooms and spinach for us- not on the menu. In such a busy city, thank you all so much for the hospitality-very much appreciated!”
“Tonight We had a Great selection of 4 course menu for restaurant week this evening at Nora for $60, Chef Daniele selection of food is well done The menu originally from Sardinia, perfectly combines authentic Italian flavors with Sardinian touches. simply amazing — and I would say from appetizers to pasta and main course all dishes were cooked to perfection, and we very much appreciate the hospitality and greeting from manager Nikolas as well 😇🙏 So over all Great atmosphere and excellent service. Definitely deserves 5 stars!, will be back again soon”
“Incredible Mediterranean spot. We ate outside, but they have a very spacious indoor area. The service was incredibly attentive. Order the calamari, probably one of the best I've had. For my main I had the Angolotti which had the most tender short rib. For my drink I had a non-alcoholic peach spritz which was refreshing and not too sweet”
“Nora is a solid choice for lunch or dinner in downtown Chicago, particularly for visitors looking for Mediterranean and Italian-inspired cuisine in a comfortable setting just steps from iconic Michigan Avenue. The menu offers a good variety of pasta, seafood, steak, chicken, and pizza dishes, making it easy for most diners to find something appealing. The restaurant’s ambiance reflects a pleasant Mediterranean character, creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere whether dining indoors or enjoying one of the outdoor tables during Chicago’s warmer months. Portions are generous throughout the menu, making it a good value for the area. We began our meal with the Ribollita Toscana soup, which was rich, hearty, fresh, and surprisingly filling—a wonderful start, especially on a cooler day. We then shared the Goat Cheese Salad, which proved to be one of the highlights of the meal. The ingredients were fresh, thoughtfully combined, and balanced with just the right amount of olive oil and balsamic dressing. The goat cheese itself was mild, creamy, and flavorful without being overly salty. For our main courses, we enjoyed the Hanger Steak and shared a Margherita Pizza with mushrooms. The steak was tender, well-prepared, and attractively plated. The pizza, while generously topped and made with quality ingredients, was somewhat less successful. It lacked the depth of flavor we expected and the sauce made the center slightly runny. Service was adequate and professional, though not particularly memorable. Overall, however, the combination of location, generous portions, pleasant atmosphere, and generally well-prepared food makes Nora a dependable dining option in the neighborhood. Tip: If you’re staying near Michigan Avenue or spending the day exploring the Magnificent Mile, Nora is a reliable choice for both lunch and dinner. Outdoor seating can be particularly enjoyable during good weather. The soups, salads, and meat dishes were especially strong during our visit and may be the safest bets on the menu. Conveniently located in the heart of downtown, it’s an easy and satisfying stop between sightseeing, shopping, and exploring the city.”
“Visited during Chicago Restaurant Week ($60/person) and was disappointed. The soft egg starter was fine, but the ravioli came lukewarm and the bacon bits were overly hard and didn’t match the dish. The veal Milanese dish has an extremely thick, hard breading with dry meat and little flavor. Dessert (chocolate custard) was the best part. Overall not worth it; I wouldn’t return or recommend. Service is good though, but I am the type that cares more about the taste”
