A cheery, record-playing cocktail bar in the heart of Temescal. Home of the "Best Bartender in the East Bay" and "Best Cocktails" for three years running. We serve a full dining menu until 10pm weekdays and 11pm weekends. Our beverage program is available until 11pm weekdays and 12am on weekends. All reservations are for our plant-filled back patio, which is covered, rainproof, and heated. You'll walk through our space, past the curated books and records, and turn right just before the open kitchen. Each night, we also hold tables on the patio, inside, and on our parklet for walk-in groups. Those tables are seated first-come, first-served. If you can't get a reservation, call 510-891-1113 for immediate availability. For reservations larger than 8 people, email: hello@northlight.bar Most of our patio tables are heated, some are not. There is significant ambient warmth from those heaters, but please come prepared. We're so excited to host you.

“This was a perfect place to gather with a few close friends when returning to the Bay area. Cozy and friendly vibe, funky and eclectic indoor space and beautiful patio with booths and tables. The cocktails were excellent and my friends enjoyed the food.they tried, the burger and a salad. Great addition to the Telegraph neighborhood.”
“I couldn’t love this place more. It’s all about perfectly crafted cocktails and a lonely indie atmosphere. They a little library with great titles that you can borrow or buy. Definitely a conversations starter. The drinks are like no other and they use only high quality ingredients, come to try some creative drinks spin on your classics and have a cute time. Very friendly and nice, the service is always excellent.”
“The things I really liked about this bar was the friendly staff, had a nice variety of drinks, and the food, like the garlic fries were really good! it's not a super large space but is nicely located in the Temescal, Oakland neighborhood. We were disappointed by the slow service, however. It would take a long-time between drink / food orders, which may simply be a result of not enough bar tenders on staff.”
