“The snow crab is really good, the shrimp as well is all fresh. The bayou and butter sauce are all good. We got the mushroom fried and is good. The service is divine. Eat here for fresh good seafood”
“I loved this place and I think everyone else does too , service was great, food was awesome, ribeye I got was very good. Drinks were perfect.”
“Yummmm!!! Ok yeah, I ordered a BURGER when I had a multitude of Cajun food options…🫣But hey! I’m on a mission to find THE best burger on this planet! Or at least in east Texas!!! The Classic burger, cooked to perfection, char-grilled, loved the bun…you know the kind, slightly sweet? Fresh tomatoes, cheese, caramelized onions. Amazing! The fries. The FRIES! In 64 years on this planet, I’ve not experienced fries like these! So very crispy on the outside, just enough salt. Tender inside! The hubby had the stuffed flounder. His fave. His go-to! Light, creamy sauce, lump crab….delish. Hubby claims Pelican Pointe has THE BEST oysters in a 5-state region! Alan, our server, was gracious, humorous, on pointe…pun intended!😂 Just go there, experience this Cajun joint!”
“I stopped for a quick lunch. The atmosphere was positive. The appetizer was awesome, crawfish queso with toasted baguettes, followed by a very fresh house salad with balsamic vinaigrette and finally my main course The Southern Trinity. It was definitely the highlight of my day. Great job Pelican Pointe!! The menu demonstrated a variety of Cajun selections but I was only there for lunch so I kept it to a minimum.”
“Second time at Pelican Pointe. First time was when they opened a few years ago. Service and food at that time was whack....but we could see the potential. This go around, years later, we decided to give it another try. Service was definitely better! Food was alright. The bacon wrapped shrimp appetizer was very good! I chose the fried shrimp and oyster plate. This comes with fries, hush puppies and cole slaw. The menu should say, it comes with one bite of cole slaw, because that is literally what it was! The cup it came in was a condiment to go plastic container(see pics). The oysters were quite chewy, so were the hushpuppies. Never thought I would have to use that descriptive for an oyster! The shrimp was cooked perfect, but the breading did not stick too well. Overall, I think Pelican Pointe has lost us for good. I have read great reviews on this restaurant, you might just have to hit them on a good day. Oh...and you don't find this out until the end, if you use a credit card, there is a surcharge(see photo)...really??!”
