“20 Stories during our time in Manchester. It was truly an unforgettable experience from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by your hosting team. I would particularly like to commend Marina, who was incredibly friendly and attentive throughout the evening. She expertly guided us through the brand-new menu that had just launched and helped us select dishes that we absolutely loved. Her outstanding service made us feel truly at home. The food itself was exceptional, and it is clear that the chefs put a great deal of passion and care into every dish; everything was beautifully presented and full of flavor. We also thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere. The restaurant is stylish and spotlessly clean, and the views from the 20th floor over the Manchester skyline were simply stunning, especially around sunset. While we noted it is an upscale experience, the combination of top-tier service, high-quality food, and the incredible setting made it 100% worth it. We left with amazing memories and will certainly be returning in the future. On a final note, I did want to mention a point regarding the billing process. We found it a bit surprising that even when ordering through the app, a 13.5% non-discretionary service charge is applied to the final total. Given the digital nature of the ordering system, this felt somewhat inconsistent with the typical service model. “Attended on a Monday afternoon and sampled the lunch menu at £35 for 3 courses with a £5 supplement for my rump steak and £6 for Skinny fries. Brilliant location, great views, unfortunately there are only about 6 tables that have an uninterrupted view out over Manchester as they are in the window, the remainder sit behind and so on so if you want the view I'd suggest recommending a window seat. If you are a group of more than 4, youll probably get a booth which is a very nice place to sit but furthest away from the windows. If you're just having drinks, you sit on the other side of the restaurant and the majority of the tables (both inside and outside) have the desired view. Additionally, make sure you go to the toilet because the view is great! Onto the food, it was reasonably priced for Manchester and only very slightly more expensive than the equivalent 3 course Miller & Carter lunch menu for reference although you do have to pay extra for fries, vegetables & sauces etc so if you're not careful it could add up. I did see the normal menu and I can confirm it is far more expensive so do keep that in mind. The food was served fairly quickly and tasted great, my steak was cooked beautifully (medium) although it was lacking seasoning which I found odd given everything else was spot on, maybe they forgot or maybe its how it comes?? If I could give 4.5 stars, I would but I cant so the food must score 4 as my steak at Hawksmoor was better. The cocktails we had were very nice although not the largest and quite expensive at £32 for the pair, so maybe consider just having a beer at £6.50. Service was fine, very polite, attentive and they even gave my girlfriend a small plate with "Happy Birthday" written on it in chocolate letters and a small piece of chocolate cake with a candle on. Overall, I had a very good experience and I would definitely recommend you try 20 stories for sure although I can imagine on a busy evening the price would be far higher, the wait for food a little longer and the atmosphere much louder. None of these things are necessarily an issue provided you know the score!”

“We had Sunday dinner at 20 Stories during our first trip to Manchester, and it was such a beautiful experience from start to finish. As soon as you walk in, you take an elevator with only one button straight up to the 20th floor and the views are absolutely stunning. The hosts greeted us right away and made us feel so welcomed. Our server, Kseniia from Ukraine, truly made the night unforgettable. She was amazing at explaining the menu, recommending dishes, and even helping us not over-order when we wanted to try everything. She also surprised us with complimentary champagne to celebrate our first time in Manchester and made sure we had the best experience possible all evening. We highly recommend this spot to anyone visiting Manchester. Just make sure to book ahead in advance. It’s definitely upscale and on the pricier side, but between the atmosphere, service, and views, it was 100% worth it.”

Her service was outstanding – always checking in with a smile and making sure everything was perfect for us. The food itself was simply exceptional. You can really tell the chefs put passion and care into every dish – everything we tried was full of flavour and beautifully presented. What made the experience even more special was the thoughtful surprise – I even received a beautiful “Congratulations” plate for my expecting baby, which meant so much to us and made the moment truly memorable. The atmosphere of the restaurant is just as impressive. It’s spotlessly clean, stylish, and the views over Manchester are absolutely stunning – it really adds something special to the whole experience. We left with full hearts (and full stomachs!) and amazing memories. Highly recommended – we will definitely be coming back!”

“20 Stories is all about the atmosphere. The views over Manchester are absolutely stunning and are easily the best part of the experience. The staff were also amazing, friendly, attentive, and a real credit to the restaurant. Unfortunately, the food was a real let-down for the price. It was nice enough, but no better than what you can get at plenty of other restaurants in the city, and I’ve genuinely had better meals at Harvester. For what you’re paying, I expected much more. For me, this was a one-and-done visit. The views are worth seeing once, but I wouldn’t return.”
