“This is the type of spot where you have a lot of time to really chat drink and eat. Everyone is pretty friendly and I got lucky with a table as a walk in almost immediately on arrival. The everything I ordered was so fresh and the flavor profiles were hitting. Their pesto sauce with the burrata and heirloom tomatoes was so refreshing. I had the spicy shrimp which was also really good. The vodka sauce regate exceeded my expectations. Spicy, cheesy, simple. The pasta shape holds the sauce well. Across the board, the bread is also a standout. Their cheesecake isn’t a typical cheesecake. It’s much softer and like a creme brûlée and cheesecake has a baby. The waitress gave my a great drink recommendation. Outside there are fans with water misters so I was comfortable with a great view of the tvs to watch the World Cup.”

“Wow. The food was amazing. We sat outdoors and it was warm, but they only had outdoor available, so we took it. My daughter had been before and told us it was a must try. We started with 3 apps. The spicy shrimp was delicious and the bread to drop? Just YUM! Calamari with shrimp was also great m, but the sausage bread was my favorite. Dense and full of flavor. We were full but ordered dinner anyways. My daughter had spicy vodka pasta and crispy chicken and loved it. Jess had chicken limone and also loved it. I had chicken parm (of course) and it was good. The stand out was the texture of the house made pasta in all three meals. Just that would be worth the trip. Our server was sweet and attentive, will be back, but will sit inside to be cooler.”

“We were sad when Brio closed but so glad to see such good Italian replacement coming in the same location. Very nice place. Reservation highly recommended. Great ambience, awesome food, really good service. We were in a hurry and needed fast service and Maria made sure we got our food in time. Thought I will go again to actually sit down and enjoy the food and the experience. Both pastas we tried were really good. The warm brownie with vanilla ice cream was delicious. Even though there is lots of parking available, parking can be hard to find as this corner is very busy. Highly recommended. Only thing missing was table side payments.”

“Whenever I’m craving authentic house-made pasta and pizza, Bar Italia is my favorite go-to spot. I recently came here to celebrate my birthday, and it was an amazing and unforgettable dining experience. The staff were warm and hospitable, and my server Cisco went above and beyond to provide five-star service that truly made my birthday dinner special. The food, as always, was outstanding. Since it was Pasta Night, I ordered the Spicy Vodka Rigate (one of my personal favorites) and the Bucatini Bolognese — both cooked perfectly with rich, flavorful sauces. The Country Bread with Whipped Ricotta was also a treat. For dessert, I tried the Caramelized Cheesecake and Tiramisu, which were absolutely delicious. It would be hard to pick a favorite! Altogether, this was such an incredible dining experience. I thoroughly enjoyed my evening here and am already looking forward to my next visit ❤️”

“I visited Bar Italia in Sarasota for the first time yesterday, after a coworker recommended it. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed. The restaurant is beautiful and elegantly designed it has a sophisticated yet welcoming vibe that immediately makes you feel like you’re in for something special. The service was excellent and attentive. One of my favorite features is the open/visible kitchen. I love being able to see the chefs at work; it adds a real sense of luxury and transparency that you don’t find everywhere. For lunch, I ordered the Pollo al Limón. It was outstanding. The lemon sauce had the perfect balance bright and flavorful without being overly bitter or acidic. The chicken was wonderfully crispy on the outside while staying juicy inside. The fresh pasta that accompanied it was clearly handmade, with a delicious taste and texture, and the croutons added a fantastic crunch. Every element worked together beautifully. Overall, my experience at Bar Italia was fantastic. The combination of elegant atmosphere, great service, and high-quality food made it a memorable lunch. I highly recommend it to everyone whether you’re a local or just visiting Sarasota. I’ll definitely be back soon!”
