“Duke’s is one of my favorite waterfront spots in Tacoma! We sat outside in the sunshine with an incredible view of the water, enjoyed a couple of great cocktails, and took advantage of the happy hour menu. The clams were delicious, the calamari was perfectly cooked, and everything came out fresh and flavorful. Between the food, drinks, and view, it’s hard to beat. The atmosphere is relaxed, the service was wonderful, and it’s the perfect place to enjoy a sunny afternoon or evening by the water. Highly recommend, and I’ll definitely be back!”

“We had a wonderful experience at Duke’s Tacoma tonight! We started our evening in the bar, where Ian took great care of us. Since we weren’t drinking alcohol, he took the time to walk us through some options and recommended the cucumber mojito mocktail, which was absolutely delicious and refreshing. He was attentive, friendly, and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. When we decided we’d like to enjoy the beautiful waterfront views outside, Barrett helped get us seated and even carried our food out to our table. That extra level of service did not go unnoticed and really added to the experience. Once we were seated outdoors, Emily was our server, and she was fantastic. She was friendly, attentive, and checked in regularly without being intrusive. She made sure we had everything we needed and helped make our dinner feel relaxed and enjoyable. The combination of great food, beautiful views, and exceptional service from Ian, Barrett, and Emily made for a memorable evening. “Our whole experience was amazing. The server was so kind and helpful with suggestions. We loved the crab cake, chowder, salmon, and halibut. I don’t think this place has bad food. We will definitely be coming back on our next trip!”

“Duke's never disappoints!! Although the chowders have changed a bit over the years, the ambiance and level of service has remained consistent. If you ate there years ago, you can be assured it will be relatively the same when you return! Very friendly hostess, smiles and welcomes when we arrived for a late lunch, early dinner on a weekday. We were sat right away at the perfect window seat where we even got to enjoy a fireboat show! First things first, the chowder! I've always ordered the chowder sampler (think they used to have 4) and this time was no different! Three completely unique and different chowders with my favorite being the Lobster, a bit sweet, super thick and very rich! The Crabby Deviled Egg was perfection, could have eaten half a dozen of them, with a creamy filling and just the right amount of crab. Since it was lunch hubby and I shared an entree, the Parmesan Crusted Halibut. Our server offered to split the plate for us which was nice and worked out perfect. Some restaurants charge for that, Duke's did not! The halibut was nice and firm, the sauce was drinkably delicious and there were just the right amount of capers. Quite expensive for a lunch but as with everything in life, you get what you pay for and sometimes you have to pay for the perfection of Duke's!”
