“I’m going to start this one with the service, because that’s a huge differentiator in Tampa’s growing restaurant scene. Sharif gave us impeccable service throughout our experience. He brings positive vibes and exuberance and a natural sense of timing. The food is amazing, but his service will be equally anticipated as we plan a return visit. Now the food, seriously you could make a meal out of the homemade sourdough bread stack and their Luca salad. But the homemade pasta (ie Cacio e Pepe) and protein sides (ie Crispy Chicken Milanese) are so fulfilling. This will go on our short list of favorite Italian in Tampa.”

“Jay Luigi SoHo has one of the best pizzas in the region. Absolutely incredible Pizza in Teglia alla Romana! The fact that this was only $12 for Happy Hour is crazy! SWEET JAMIE KAY tomato, house-made mozzarella, soppressata, calabrian honey Mind blown. I've reviewed hundreds of pizzerias all over the US and this one is VERY high on the list. “Dined here on Wednesday night and were pleasantly surprised to see that they have live jazz music from 6-9 every Wednesday. I reserved a booth when making the reservation but was notified they are saved for parties of 4 and up, which was fine. We started off with their sourdough bread and Caesar salad which were both very delicious. For dinner I had the creamy tomato vodka with chicken and thought the portion was small at first but ended up being perfect! We wanted to try the lemon meringue pie-tini but they were unfortunately out of it so instead we got the not your nonnas tiramisu and it was delicious. Highly recommend this spot for a good espresso martini and pastas!”

My boyfriend and I came for brunch and shared the Hell’s Chicken and the Tiramisu French Toast and… I mean… holy crap WOW good. Like close-your-eyes, pause-the-conversation good. Every bite was layered, intentional, and beautifully balanced. You could actually taste each spice and flavor individually, which is rare and impressive. Nothing muddled, nothing heavy. Just chef-level execution. The drinks? Unreal. Their sangria is some of the best I’ve had in a long time, fresh, smooth, and dangerously drinkable. And the Tira Me Booze cocktail? Absolute brunch perfection. Fun, creative, and perfectly paired with the food. And can we talk about the house-fermented sourdough? Because I’m still thinking about it. Truly to die for. If loving bread this much is wrong, I don’t want to be right. On top of all that, the staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. Our server, Stone, was an absolute standout! Super cool, genuinely welcoming, and completely on point without ever being overbearing. That kind of service elevates the whole experience. From food to cocktails to service, Jay Luigi absolutely nailed it. This is the kind of place you recommend enthusiastically and then immediately plan your next visit. 10/10. No notes.
