“Outstanding! Phenomenal! Wonderful experience!!! The atmosphere sets a tone that “you are family here” the service was excellent, the food was excellent the management came around to ask us who we were and if we were celebrating. He told us some English history of the dishes and desserts. I personally enjoyed the entire evening with family and Mad Dogs and Englishmen made the evening more fun. I had the best fish n chips which the perfect thickness of breading fried to crispy perfection with waffle cut potato wedges. My wife had the cob salad with their house made lemon vinaigrette, my eldest had the steak n chips and my youngest had a pub burger. All enjoyed their choices. We agreed on the sticky toffee dessert and Bailey’s cheesecake as the top desserts which you can’t go wrong with these to finish your meal. I give my highest recommendation for this place and I am planning on returning next week. You ought to make the time and take the trip here, it is well worth it!!!”
“Tried out Mad Dogs and Englishmen last week! Delicious food and atmosphere. On the inside looks like a traditional pub and they have a super nice patio as well. Fair warning parking is limited and very night spaces! They do serve traditional English Pub faire. We had the Shepards Pie (it has lamb which was different but good!), Mushroom Leek Pie and fish and chips. The fish was cooked perfectly and had a great crunch to it. Not soggy at all! I was surprised by the Mushroom and Leek pie, I didn't think I would like it but I did! For dessert we had the Sticky Toffee Pudding. So good!! Service was fun and upbeat, our server was so nice! I would definitely come back here soon!”
“We’d been meaning to try this place for over a year and finally made it only this past Saturday—and were really impressed. Even though we showed up 30 minutes early, they seated us quickly. The whole place is cozy and beautifully done. You can tell a lot of thought went into every detail—from the hostess’s outfit to the little things on the shelves. At times, it genuinely felt like we were back in London. The food was phenomenal. The steak and chicken were perfectly cooked—kudos to the chef and team. Service was great without being overbearing, and we also really appreciated that the manager comes around to every table to check in and chat. It’s a nice, personal touch you don’t see very often. The fireplace room was our favorite—perfect for a drink while waiting for a table. We left already planning our next visit. Totally worth it.”
“I’ve been wanting to stop in and try their Fish & Chips for quite some time, and I finally got the chance to do so. I’m kind of upset I waited so long, because they were hands down the best Fish & Chips I’ve ever had! The Fish just melts in your mouth; it’s so light and flakey and delicious! The Chips were so good; they were cooked to perfection. My son had the Steak & Chips, and he loved it just as much as I loved the Fish & Chips! Service was just as good as the food! Our server (Ana?) was so sweet; she was so warm and friendly. I forgot to ask her about the Post Card that was clipped to the check, so before we left, I asked the gentleman up front (I think he was the Manager) if I was allowed to take it home with me. He said I was; he also said if I wanted to write on the back of it and send it to someone, they’d mail it out for me. I thought that was really nice! I didn’t do it this time, but I will definitely do it on my next visit. I’m already looking forward to going back. :)”
“My date and I dined last week at Mad Dogs!!! It was his first time and we sat with Abigail, such a great server and asset to the company!!! We sat near the tv’s in the main dining area and really enjoyed ambiance. We ordered the whipped feta for an appetizer, old fashion, the dame for cocktails, the fish and chips for entrees (my date copied me lol) and then he went crazy for the apple crumble and can’t stop talking about it! Everything was awesome and we will definitely be back soon, especially for that apple crumble :) Cheers!”
