“We were in Tampa for a day-trip to the aquarium and stopped in for brunch. The food was fresh and flavorful, and the atmosphere was buzzing. Easily a highlight of our trip. We ordered the devils on horseback, confit wings, and yellowtail crudo for apps and everything was fantastic. Admittedly, I was skeptical ordering the devils on horseback, which is a cheese stuffed date, wrapped in bacon, as I’m usually not a fan of dates, but those little devils were deliciously addictive! Great balance of flavors and perfect for sharing. Additionally, their harbor salad comes topped with generous portions of shrimp, lump crab, and scallops — perfect for any seafood lover and pleasantly refreshing to enjoy when it’s scorching outside. I definitely recommend visiting if you’re in town. You will not be disappointed. If we lived in Tampa, this would absolutely be our go-to brunch spot. We’re still talking about the food and cannot wait to come back!”
“The experience was outstanding. We’ve had quite a few food options on their menu and every single one is outstanding, especially the jalapeño cornbread, the chicken wings, the chicken sandwich, the grilled cheese, and the pub burger all of those are outstanding. The fried pickles are also really really good. Our waitress was Desi and she was great. It was a tad bit loud in the restaurant on a Friday night, but overall, we could still have a great time and hear each other perfectly fine and would definitely recommend the restaurant for a great meal experience and great service every time. And good date night vibes.”
“Had mixed thoughts after reviews but so glad we came in. Nick was fantastic, happy to chat and recommend drinks and oyster options. We had the baked, and it was phenomenal!! My wife had a hibiscus cocktail and it was great full of flavor you could tell the bartender loved their craft. I had the St. Bernardus beer and it was just how I remembered a real treat. We started with the devils on horseback and divine doesn't even begin to describe it, perfect. I had the fish and chips, and the best part was the chunky fries (reminded us of England). The fish was tender, and the coating was thin and crispy. My wife had the pub burger and she admitted it was the best burger very flavorful she has had in some time. The service was top notch we made a reservation, and I would strongly recommend it. The atmosphere was nice and easy to have a conversation. Parking can be difficult during peak hours as it is in downtown but we snuck in Publix parking (shhhhh you get 2 hours free, don’t get caught). No doubt we will be back for dinner next time. If you're looking for a nice upscale, relaxing, and place full of flavor look no further.”
“Located right in downtown on Water Street- came with friends visiting and got alittle of everything to share. If you like wings- these are a must try- they are brined and then fried (fall off the bone tender but a great outside crisp) served with this house Gochujang hot sauce (so good!), the N’awlins oysters (savory in a buttery seasoned broth with baguette to soak up the sauce which you will want to do!), jalapeno spoon cornbread (good texture and complements butter), burger done up their way (fresh meat they grind daily, classic), garlic shrimp (delicious and need bread for the broth), seabass special (perfectly cooked), ham and cheese open face (on their brunch menu we got earlier- sweet and savory! Delish)- and just like their menu suggests- save room for their fresh made pies! Overall- great service by Whitney! She was fantastic- food was great (ordered a 2nd order of wings btw) and love coming here! Some people I see have complained about being overpriced but I think the food is high quality and it’s comparable to other similar restaurants downtown - Highly recommend!”
“From the awesome atmosphere when you walk in, to the check served to you in a paperback book, this whole thing is a fantastic experience. Throw on top of that the menu is almost all Gluten Free, and a dedicated fryer for French fries and the like, my wife and I were happy. Dante, our server, was very knowledgeable for my wife who has to eat GF or will go to the hospital. We had the tavern fries, fried pickles, harbor salad, and a burger. All were great. Little disappointed in the dessert - we had a pie jar of lemon/blueberry gluten free - but there was a lot of blueberry and hardly any taste of lemon (we like lemon and not as much blueberry) :) So, we don't need dessert from now on - but will definitely be returning! We were happy there were choices for dessert too that were GF, and not your standard every other restaurant go-to of flourless chocolate cake. :) Also LOVE that we can use OpenTable.”
