“We’d been waiting for summer so we could finally come here and sit outside, and it didn’t disappoint. We came in the evening and got to enjoy a beautiful sunset. The service was amazing. The staff was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was really good, and you can tell they put a lot of effort into it. The menu has a great selection of seafood, so it’s definitely a good spot if you like seafood. The biggest surprise for us was the fish and chips. Instead of regular fries, they served homemade-style potatoes that were clearly prepared in-house. We really enjoyed it and will definitely be back.”

“We had an excellent lunch at the Moshulu. The atmosphere was cool, with beautiful waterfront views and the charm of dining on a historic tall ship. The food was outstanding—I had the Double Wagyu Burger, which was cooked perfectly and packed with flavor, while my wife enjoyed the Lobster Roll, which was fresh, generous, and absolutely delicious. What really made the experience stand out was the service. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The pricing was reasonable for the quality of the food, service, and overall dining experience. If you're looking for a great lunch spot with amazing food, great views, and top-notch service, this is a place worth visiting. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will definitely be back!”

“Tonight I had dinner at Moshulu, and the experience was incredible. The atmosphere alone is worth it—dining on an old ship is such a unique vibe. The dining room and bar were both great, and I can only imagine how amazing the outdoor deck must be on a beautiful sunny day. The food was absolutely delicious, and I have to give a special shoutout to Carol, the bartender and server—she was hands down fantastic and really made the night even better. I’d definitely recommend checking this place out when you get the chance. I already can’t wait to go back and enjoy a few drinks on the deck.”

“We really enjoyed our time here. My first time wasn’t a great experience nothing to do with the boat but this time around with different company, it was much better. I made a reservation during happy hour and there wasn’t any signage or memos on the website or while making the reservation saying that you could only enjoy happy hour at the bar out on the upstairs deck when weather permits. Thankfully the boat was fairly empty when we arrived and due to it being our anniversary, they made an exception and let us enjoy happy hour at a regular table inside since it was too cold to sit outside and there was an event going outside. The event was also not disclosed to us until we arrived but after we ate we were able to go outside and explore the boat and take photos. Our food was absolutely delicious, for the happy hour we had 2 burger sliders, 2 orders of the small crab cakes I think they were and there was something else I didn’t eat but it was sushi related. Then we got greedy and ordered salmon and Mac and cheese which I would 100% go back for. Afterward our waitress gave us some sorbet on the house for our celebration.”

“I’m so sad writing this. The Moshulu is one of my favorite special occasion restaurants to visit. But this Mother’s Day 2026 was just not up to par and super disappointing. I’ve been going here for years - the ambiance of the beautiful, old ship is worth every penny. First pennies spent: parking. It went up $5… now $25 to park in the lots closest to the ship. Parking is the Lombard Circle Parking Lot - there are two different little lots there. It’d be better to street park and walk down to the Moshulu if everyone in your party is able to walk. Next: the menu. It used to seem like a chef-crafted menu when you would dine for holidays/special events - this menu seemed more like there wasn’t a ton of thought put into the offerings (even though I’m sure there was). They used to do a mimosa bucket which was so nice and great for the table to share - that’s no longer. They also used plastic cups for some of the beverages? I was surprised by that. Our drinks were good but even the drink offerings were strange - like heavy on the herbs and gin. Not as much variety as usual. The appetizers were pretty basic and not interesting or trendy - weird word to use for apps and I wish I would have taken a picture of the menu- but it was just ok. None of us were like - “ooo! Let’s share that!” We decided on ricotta donuts - which they typically always offer… and they came out dark. Like dark dark. I thought no way they didn’t change their oil before a big holiday?! That’s pretty standard for high volume restaurants - change the oil before a holiday, so it’s fresh and the food doesn’t look black as night and it cooks according to recipe. Listen, my mom’s food was good and that was most important (so was my dad’s and boyfriend’s). I should’ve just picked something else when I saw how dark the ricotta donuts were. My fried chicken was burnt to a crisp; the waffle was good(!) but the chicken was so done it cut my mouth and I gave up eating it (you know when chicken is so dry it looks and feels rubbery?). Super disappointing. Lastly, when we’ve been there for holidays or on the weekends in the past, they have had live music… just MJ playing on repeat. I didn’t mind it but there’s something about live music, so that was a little disappointing. It was something we all mentioned like - where’s the live music? Overall the time with family, the beautiful day, and being on the ship made up for my meal, but now I don’t know if I’ll be back. There are other cute places in Philly so I’ll just have to mix it up a little.”
