“I didn't expect to find such an amazing place today, but i'm happy I did. The port belly literally melts in your mouth. The sorbet was wonderful. The service was beyond excellent!! Everything we had was amazing.I definitely recommend coming if you're anywhere near the austin area”
“Daughter and I tripped over this really special place just by serendipitous chance and we were both so happy that we did. So much to share about the experience that is being offered here. From the moment you walk up you feel like you have found something special. Part of the reason I love to review and share places is more than just the food. It's also about the quality of the atmosphere and customer service you receive. The experience. When we were sat we found two small warm towels that smelled incredible for us to wipe our hands with. The whole place smelled so good. The atmosphere was warm and dimly lit. There is no access to the restaurant from the street which makes it feel exclusive and special which made our special day out even better. The food is the perfect amount and there is so much flavor in each bite. We enjoyed the lunch combo which came with two hand rolls and your choice of salad or soup. I would have taken more photos but I just wanted to enjoy the moment. If you get a chance to visit or live in Austin, you should definitely go see them.”
“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Standout Sushi Experience I had an exceptional meal at Neighborhood Sushi. The variety and execution of the dishes made it clear this place takes its craft seriously. We ordered a wide range of items, and not a single plate missed. The Secret Garden and To Saturn and Back were creative, balanced, and beautifully presented. The Broccolini Tempura and Truffled Beech Mushroom Tempura hit that perfect light-crispy texture without feeling heavy, and the Corn Kakiage was surprisingly addictive. Nigiri was the real highlight. The Sea Bream, Tasmanian Trout, Fluke, Japanese Western, and 2 King Crab Nigiri were all incredibly fresh, expertly cut, and seasoned with just the right touch—no soy sauce needed. Even the house-made Kizami Wasabi stood out. The hot items were equally strong: the Basil Shrimp Tempura was delicate and flavorful, the Amberjack Crudo was bright and clean, and the Fish Collar was rich, tender, and perfectly charred. Cocktails were thoughtful as well—The Rising Sun and Red Dragon Cocktail both paired perfectly with the food without overpowering it. Service from Tomas was smooth and attentive throughout, and the whole experience felt relaxed but elevated. With the amount and quality of food we ordered, the value felt absolutely justified. If you want sushi that’s both creative and technically precise, this place is a must. I’d come back in a heartbeat.”
“We had a great meal here! The vibe is very cozy and romantic, and the fish all tasted very fresh and thoughtfully prepared. This a 4 star instead of 5 star for me only because I think there are slightly better sushi options in Austin (for the same price), and I was a bit underwhelmed with the cocktail menu. However, we had a great experience and truly enjoyed everything we ordered.”
“Honestly this place is good, but that’s about it. Celebrated my birthday lunch here, and we spent ~$330 for the four of us and we I’ll just say none of us were really satisfied. Nigiri and yakitori was good but the rolls were ok, like the ingredients were fresh but the tastes just didn’t play together. Same for tempura, very average (although fresh). Besides that, atmosphere was top notch and service was good. Asked for best seats and they delivered, but not sure if I would recommend this place to my friends. I personally think kata ro**** or ka**mi in Houston is best in Texas. But ladies would love it if their boyfriends surprised them with a place like this. Great vibes”
