The food deserves its Michelin star, with lovely flavors and textures and of course the best ingredients. The prices are absolutely reasonable for what was offered.”

We had the surprise menu which was a truly pleasant surprise. I enjoyed the pork and prawn dish in particular. For a Michelin star restaurant the price was also very reasonable. We will definitely return in the future.”

“We visited Villa Merton on Monday March 30th 2026 for a 1 ⭐️ Birthday Dinner. On Mondays the Team presents their „Gourmet Special“ Evenings. The concepts contains a unique new menu every week. A perfect opportunity to the lovers of new approaches to dishes that might (or might not) find their way into the Restaurant’s standard repertoire. For us, who were looking for a „fancy“ gourmet experience, the Monday was not the ideal choice. First, maybe the short distance between the „Special Events“ do not really allow to build a well balanced Menu with 6 or more courses, instead it appeared as if the courses where just made bigger and it left a feeling like „nice but to much salmon carpaccio“. And with „Gourmet Special“ we were expecting something at the top end of a selection process and not a try out for dishes that might have potential. I have to admit that this is complaining on a very high level. The quality, the presentation and craftsmanship of the courses were perfect. Without our expectation of a fancy star dinner in a „normal“ restaurant, I would give 5 stars, here - and this is for the first time in my Michelin journey- I only give 4 stars. A big compliment to the service, who was absolutely professional and nice. It was a pleasure being your guests.”

“Its a lovely setting but for the star, i was expecting way better for food and service. I would say other than the salmon dish which is really fresh and deer was fine, the rest were not well balanced and not great, plating for dessert is also a downer vs many other fine dining iv done.. would say its an ok at best.”
