Born from the Bay. More than a seafood restaurant, Row 34 is a connection to the ocean. The name Row 34 is a nod to the 34th row of oysters grown in Duxbury Bay on the South Shore of Massachusetts. True to our namesake, our menu is all about responsibly sourced seafood from local waters. We want our guests to come back again and again, so everything we do reflects a commitment to freshness, community, and hospitality. Whether you're posting up at our raw bar or diving into one of our signature lobster rolls, we can’t wait for you to taste the best New England has to offer. 2025 Boston Magazine Best of Boston Award Winner - Best Seafood Restaurant New York Times - 25 Best Restaurants in Boston Looking for another reservation? “This is easily the best local seafood in town. The list of locally sourced oysters goes on for days. They give you a pencil to select today’s fresh offerings. Our server was knowledgeable and attentive. The lobster rolls (we had them both ways) are easily the best in Boston. We were greeted by Chef Jeremy and we can easily see why this place sets the standard for local seafood. We’ll be back.”
“Some of the best seafood offerings in the city! Row 34 is always a go - to favorite.. whether I'm dining alone at the bar or bringing a small group for a nice dinner out! The tuna crudo is what dreams are made of.. order one and then prepare and plan to order another- it's unreal.”
“We had a really great experience here and it’s one of those places where you can tell right away that the team cares about both the food and the overall guest experience. We started at the bar before our reservation, and the service there was quick, polished, and attentive. The bartender greeted us right away, gave us time to look over the menu, and delivered well-crafted drinks within minutes. The presentation stood out too—served in proper glassware on branded coasters, which added a nice touch. Once we were seated, the experience continued on a strong note. The hostess gave us a comfortable corner table with couch seating, which made a big difference in the overall ambiance—it felt relaxed, a bit more private, and gave us a great view of the dining room. Our server, Justin, was excellent. He took the time to walk us through the menu, especially highlighting the raw bar and crudo selections, and made the whole experience feel thoughtful rather than rushed. The food was a highlight across the board. The halibut ceviche was incredibly fresh and came with a mix of house-made chips, including plantain, which added great texture and variety. The oyster slider was simple but really well executed—crispy, not greasy, and served on a soft brioche bun. The standout appetizer was the bluefin pâté, which was rich, flavorful, and came with grilled bread and pickled vegetables served separately (a small detail, but very well thought out). For entrées, both dishes impressed. The oyster roll had a generous portion of oysters, perfectly balanced with a light mayo and a nicely toasted bun. The halibut entrée was cooked beautifully—flaky, tender, and served over green beans with a light salad that made the dish feel balanced and not too heavy. There was one small hiccup with a fish bone in the pâté, but this is where the restaurant really stood out. Our server handled it immediately, and a manager came over right away to apologize and make it right. They even sent us home with a cookie and hot sauce, which was a thoughtful and genuine gesture. Overall, the combination of high-quality food, strong service, and attentive management made this a really enjoyable night. Definitely a place worth coming back to.”
“Stylish and lively restaurant with excellent fresh seafood. The oysters were delicious, as were the various fish dishes we ordered. The drinks were also excellent. A great spot for a nice dinner out or just drinks at the bar.”
“Had lunch at Row 34 – Kenmore Square and really enjoyed it. The seafood was fresh and well cooked and everything came out nicely presented. Service was friendly and attentive without feeling rushed and the room has that buzzy but relaxed feel that makes it easy to settle in and enjoy a good meal. I would happily go back the next time I am in the area.”
