“Celebrated my 58th birthday there June 5, 2026 with my husband. Everything was great! The atmosphere, food, cleanliness and our waitress was absolutely amazing!”
“There is literally nothing to complain about. If there were I’m the type that would find it. Even the bathrooms were clean and our reservation wasn’t until 8pm. Part of our anniversary celebration. Let me tell you… I am by no means a really a picky eater, but I have traveled and eaten at some very fine places around the county. (Nobu, Gibson’s, Hugo’s Cellar, Patsy’s, Morton’s, just to name a few). Because I’ve had the privilege of eating at some of the nations finest places I do fully expect the quality & preparation of the food placed before me to match the price tag. So when I tell you that the food is delicious, you can put money on it. It’s a rare occasion I don’t pick up a salt shaker or I can’t find something that isn’t just right. I like my steaks medium-rare to rare. I can usually tell before my plate hits the table if it’s properly cooked, I can definitely tell by the texture even before I slice into it. It drives my husband nuts but, I WILL send back an overcooked steak. I do have manners, so If we are someone else’s guest I’ll pick at it and not complain, but if we’re the ones paying I want it to be right. Let me just say this. If you’re looking for somewhere that has a very nice ambiance, the dark wood sort of updated old school swanky vibe, relatively quiet, with a nice view, I highly recommend Ryan’s in Winston-Salem. The guys call had the filet. I had the ribeye (I moved my phone/camera before the picture took so I have a picture in the box of what was left) with the best scalloped potatoes I’ve ever eaten, a lobster tail, and sweet potato mash. The guys all opted for filet, baked potato’s asparagus, mushrooms, & wedge salad. I shared an appetizer of oysters Rockefeller (one of my favorite things) with Dakota. The crème brûlée & pecan pie were also yummy (although my biggest brother makes the world’s best pecan pie). No complaints 5/5⭐️ I look forward to returning. Steaks, certain seafood items are market price. Without alcohol you should expect to spend $65-$125pp well worth it. There were four in our group. Our table could have easily seated 6 to 8. The green smear on the plate has no flavor and is just for looks.”
“Aaaahhhhhamazing !!!! Top tier dining choice. Service was outstanding. Food was absolutely delicious. No rush in serving or eating. Enjoy your time here. Beautiful setting!”
“We had such a wonderful experience celebrating our 24th wedding anniversary here. From the moment we sat down, everything felt special—and a big part of that was thanks to Matt, our server. He struck the perfect balance between professional and personable, keeping us laughing while also offering thoughtful, spot-on recommendations throughout the night. The service overall was exceptional, and the food absolutely lived up to it. Every dish we tried was outstanding. We highly recommend starting with the meatballs appetizer and the she crab soup—both were packed with flavor and set the tone for the meal. The shrimp and grits were perfectly cooked and incredibly satisfying, and the peanut butter pie was the perfect sweet ending. Matt truly made our anniversary dinner memorable, and his recommendations did not disappoint. We’ll definitely be back!”
“I originally was going to another restaurant and they were closed. I Google for a restaurant that was near and had seafood. Ryan's was on the top 5 location to select. When I arrived they provided free parking, but it was packed. There was a waiting time for a space at the bar of about 20 minutes. Once I was seated the service was fast. The decor of the location with their thick polished wood, gave me a feel of a speakeasy style vibe. The lights were dim for those that don't want to be notice. I really enjoyed myself. The food was good and the raw oysters were fresh. I will definitely return with my family. The price is not your national food franchises prices, but sometimes you are worth it.”
