Superica – “where sunshine spends the winter” – also known as Tex-Mex cuisine served in an Old-West-inspired atmosphere alongside music inspired by Austin. The cuisine is a combination of 1950s Tex-Mex and the wood grill that has taken the food to another level by way of fajitas and more. An “evolved Tex-Mex menu,” includes the classics: tacos, nachos, tamales and enchiladas plus more intricate dishes such as wood-grilled fajitas and shrimp tacos always served with just-made flour tortillas, all while paying homage to the traditions and recipes that have been a part of the Texas culture for decades.
“I have now been to every Superica location except Krog & this was absolutely the BEST overall. From food, to service, to parking! Justin was a fantastic server and really helped make my dad’s birthday special. He was also just fun to work with overall. Thank you for the excellent service!”
“If you’re hunting for the best Tex-Mex in Atlanta, the conversation usually starts and ends at Superica Buckhead. Nestled in the heart of Buckhead Court, this isn't your average "chips and salsa" joint—it’s a high-energy, wood-fired tribute to the spirit of the Lone Star State. The Star of the Show: Red Fish Fajitas While most people default to the (admittedly excellent) steak arrachera, the real "pro move" is ordering the Pescado al Carbón. Commonly referred to as their Red Fish Fajitas, this dish features blackened Texas redfish that is wood-grilled to flaky perfection. The skin carries a beautiful char from the mesquite grill, while the meat remains buttery and tender. It’s served with Superica’s signature frothy Mexican butter, which adds a rich, velvety finish that cuts through the spice of the blackening seasoning. Wrapped in their famous, paper-thin flour tortillas—made fresh in-house—and topped with smoked onions, it is a lighter but incredibly flavorful alternative to traditional beef or chicken. The Ambiance & Service The Buckhead location strikes a perfect balance between a trendy dinner spot and a comfortable neighborhood haunt. With its high ceilings, large bar, and buzzy atmosphere, it’s ideal for a Saturday night or a lively family brunch. • Pro Tip: The wait times can be significant on weekends, so use their online waitlist or aim for an early dinner. • Don't Skip: The Chile con Queso (Primo style) with ground beef and avocado is the gold standard for appetizers in the city. The Verdict Superica Buckhead continues to justify its reputation. A great Ford Fry restaurant Whether you’re there for the legendary margaritas or the smoky, wood-grilled depth of the Red Fish Fajitas, it remains a top-tier destination for elevated comfort food.”
“Amazing Mexican experience and soul. Our server JT was very professional, polite and with the big smile, big credit to Chef, food came very quickly and delicious! Would recommend to Mexican food lovers.”
“My husband and I have been to this location a few times so when we were craving Mexican for date night, this location was a unanimous YES! Last night was our first time eating at the bar, as there was a 20 minute wait on a table. We were served by Luke the bartender and man he added to the experience. By the time we left we were happy no tables were available. Luke provided top tier service and vibes, not only to us but everyone he served. I overheard several other groups complementing his service. Luke was tentative, friendly, and prompt. The food was so good and came hot and fast. We ordered the Carbone chicken tacos with foaming butter YUM! We also ordered queso, however we scarfed that down before taking pictures lol. Drinks were also amazing. This was a great date night experience!”
“Superica was very good but pricey for what it was! If you get the fajitas, I definitely recommend making macho as the cheese was a huge plus for me and made the food delicious. They also have veggie fajitas for anyone who is vegan! Drinks are great here and I recommend getting a reservation but the wait was only 30 minutes when we got there (bar seating is open seating)”
