We welcome you to taste from our portfolio of dry, expressive wines from our estate vineyards. Ravines pioneered a style of bone dry and mineral-tinged Dry Riesling in 2002, the first in the Finger Lakes. We produce our wines from 130 acres of pristine vineyard land, on the sloped limestone and shalestone soils of Seneca and Keuka Lake. Started in 2000 by French-trained Oenologist, Morten Hallgren and his wife, Lisa, a chef they set out to create an estate vineyard focusing on elegant and expressive dry wines and create foods from local ingredients that pair well with them. They have created a community of food and wine lovers in their RAVINOUS Wine Club dedicated to the pursuit of perfect pairings. We offer indoor wine tastings and seated flights as well as outdoor service for flights, light food offerings, glasses, and bottles, with a beautiful lake view. I’ve been to multiple with girlfriends and large groups and this time I tasted solo and bright eye early as soon as they opened at 10AM on a Saturday morning. I had Ms. Carolyn all to myself for a tasting and boy was it great! I left a wine snob. She was so informative and educated on the wines, wine making and the establishment itself. She made sure to accommodate to my likings while also opening up my palette. I don’t care for reds but she explained I’m probably not drinking the right ones and she was right! I left with a bottle and wanting more! I would highly recommend visiting. Come early so you get a more intimate experience.”

“We stopped on a Saturday afternoon for a tasting and though they were busy there was no wait. My friend really enjoys their full-bodied taste and dryer wines that many other wineries in the area do not offer. The service is always friendly and informative. Clean establishment with a nice view, we both commented on how nice their bathrooms are. It is a small establishment, but worth stopping in!”
“Didn't get to try any wines. Staff was so rude that we left. No clear direction on what to do, so we walked up to the bar (like any other place). We said we were here for a tasting and with attitude, the first lady said we had to check in first. OK, we didn't know. Then we went over to the checkout out counter and the second lady had a bad attitude as well. Didn't finish explaining what we had to do to get just a tasting. She took the next customer as we waited. So we left. And we made sure to tell everyone at our next few stops all about this terrible place.”
