Authentic Eastern European cuisine perfectly accentuates a night at the theater, a casual weekday luncheon, or a lovely Sunday brunch.
“Some places just feel comforting the moment you walk in… Russian Tea Time is one of them. ☕🕯️ Cozy ambience, warm tea, elegant desserts, and a peaceful atmosphere that makes you want to stay for hours. Chicago needed more places like this. Cozy cafés/restaurants > loud trendy places every single time 😌”
“What a gem. It’s very nice and the food is reasonably priced. And if you like your vodka come on over. I had their lunch fixed price menu which went up almost 30% in the last 8 months from $32 to 40 but in my mind it’s still worth it. I did this right before walking 8,000 steps in the arts institute for four hours.”
“We loved our experience here. They were happy to accommodate our request for gluten free and nut free. The afternoon tea platter came out looking so good we doubted if it was gluten free or not! It definitely was gluten free and they were happy to verify for us as we had a celiac among us. The towers were well balanced and it didn’t feel any less than the gluten version. Everything was delicious and stunning. Not to mention the location itself is beautiful. We would 100% come back.”
“We went with a couple of friends and had no expectations. My friend wanted the tea combo, and even though we arrived a bit after it had ended, the waiter was very kind and served us the tea menu anyway. The strogonoff was delicious, and we all really enjoyed our choices. The mini dessert section of the tea buffet was fantastic. It was an excellent surprise!”
“Very few Russian restaurants in general, and our first time at one. Its in a location very close to things in the tourist area. We split the tea and the tower of biscuits, sandwiches, and desserts. It was a fun brunch. They have very large menus with a lot of options, as well as an assortment of alcoholic drinks to choose from. The service was quick too. The dining room got a bit full at peak time, but still overall great. Good place to go before or after the art museum.”
