“We had a great night at Senza. From the start, the staff was attentive, well-informed, and easy to talk to. Service felt natural and smooth the whole time. Everything we ordered was solid, with the chickpea panisse and sourdough cavatelli standing out the most. Those are worth getting. The menu also works well for vegetarians, and they’re flexible if you need to adjust anything. The wine side was a big plus. If you’re unsure what to pick, just ask. Neil listens to what you like and offers a few options at different price points, which makes it feel comfortable without being overwhelming. Overall, it’s the kind of place you can settle in and not feel rushed. Honestly, I could’ve stayed there all night until closing just enjoying the food, wine, and atmosphere.”
“We had an amazing time at Senza… the staff was attentive and informative. We truly enjoyed every dish we ate. The standouts were the chickpea panisse and sourdough cavatelli. They can easily edit for vegetarian dietary restrictions. Don’t hesitate to ask for guidance on wine… Neil is more than happy to take your preferences and provide a few suggestions at different price points! This is a great place to settle in and enjoy some wonderful wine.”
“An absolutely fantastic restaurant. The passion of the staff is unmistakable, and it shines through in every detail. The hospitality is truly exceptional—warm, genuine, and effortlessly welcoming. And if you think natural wine isn’t your thing, think again. I felt the same way going in, and ended up discovering some of the best wines I’ve ever had. It completely changed my perspective. The food is on another level. Chef Alex’s creations are both inventive and beautifully balanced—unexpected pairings that somehow work perfectly. Everything is incredibly flavorful yet never heavy, which makes the whole experience feel indulgent without being overwhelming. Add in the lively atmosphere, outstanding wine program, and genuinely wonderful people, and you have a place that’s hard to beat. I’d happily try anything Chef Alex puts on a plate.”
“I never write reviews- this restaurants atmosphere was amazing! We sat at the bar & really enjoyed the wine & food. We got the vibe of a Parisian restaurant and shared that with the owner and they said that was their inspo. Definitely go for the vibes!! Please go and hype this restaurant up in definitely one of a kind in Pittsburgh!!”
“Came after they reopened. Food was pretty good but most dishes didn’t impress us at all. We had the meatball (which feels like a randomly put together quick meal at home), the cod cheek (overcooked imo), the black bass (good but not memorable). Our favorite is the turnip. Dessert was just okay as well. For most dishes I feel like they could use more thought in putting them together. Service and vibes are very enjoyable.”
