South County Brewing - Lancaster

“My wife and I stopped by South County Brewery for the first time for a Friday night outing, and it was lively—there was a lot going on, with live music and the NFL Draft playing on the TVs. I really liked the atmosphere; it was clean, calm, and relaxing despite the crowd. The vibe felt flexible, with people dressed in both business casual and jeans and a T-shirt. I enjoyed their premium lager—it was crisp and smooth. My wife ordered the salmon BLT and said it was excellent, and I had the chicken, which was very flavorful. Our server, Virginia, was friendly and attentive. Even though she was very busy, she made sure our table was well taken care of—I’d give her an A++. We’ll definitely be back to SCBC soon.”

“Great hang out for a Friday night. Food selection was perfectly fine. Drink selection was excellent. Great ambience. Can't wait to come back here when we can sit outside in their courtyard. Just a beautiful place to spend the night. Serving staff was very helpful and friendly and attentive. The live music was perfect for the atmosphere.”

“I’ve been here twice so far and had a very pleasant dining experience both times. Brittanie was our waitress and she is just always so warm and welcoming. I came in for Easter brunch and when my poached eggs came back too well done, the staff replaced them without hesitation. Even when they’re busy, the food and service does not disappoint. Definitely plan on coming back again!”

“South County has 2 locations, the lancaster tap room and the main location in York County. The tap room is right in center city lancaster near the market so you can get some home grown veggies and stop in for a beer. It is in the location of the old Press Room, that they beautifully renovated. High wood ceilings and exposed brick give a nice cozy feel backed up with good food and drinks. They have 2 menus (i went on Sunday and attached the brunch menu). So far I haven't had any thing that I didn't like. In the summer they will have an outdoor portion by the water fountain. If you are looking for a local spot to relax and get a beer this is definitely something you should have on your "go to" list.”

“Before I start, I grew up in the deep south and know what good BBQ is. This review is solely for the bbq, the other plates look great. I got the BBQ sampler with brisket, ribs and pulled pork. I'm being realistic and set my expectations low because this is more of a brewery/restaurant and not a full on bbq pit but this plate was drier than the Sahara desert. The brisket and ribs were borderline jerky. Pulled pork was ok. Bottom line, yes we could've asked for another plate but the fact that they thought it was ok to even serve this was ridiculous. You can tell it's extremely dry when you cut into ribs before serving, It's obvious. I also got the buffalo wings which were fantastic, lightly smoked and moist. The service was great even though she was new. Attentive, informative and just a sweet heart.”
