Since opening in August of 2008, Spinasse has garnered much acclaim for its interpretation of the traditional cuisine of the Piedmont region of Northern Italy. Chef Stuart Lane and his team create simple, refined dishes grounded in authentic techniques from Piedmont, while incorporating the products of artisans and small farmers from the Pacific Northwest. We welcome you to enjoy our handmade pastas and seasonally inspired dishes and desserts, alongside a carefully curated wine list. For the time being, we look forward to sharing our menu with you from the comfort of your own home.
“This was probably the best Italian meal I have had outside of Italy! The ambience is perfect, it's elegant without being stuffy. The environment was open and airy. The wait staff were amazing. They had wonderful suggestions and timed the pacing of the meal perfectly. Then there is the food. If you go here make sure you're hungry like you're visiting an Italian grandmother who enjoys cooking. Then also make sure everyone who goes with you is willing to try everything because they offer for a set price a family style option where you get everything off the menu minus desserts and drinks. Every single dish was delectable. It's been a couple days now since I visited and I'm still thinking about this meal.”
“Definitely book a reservation in advance unless you want to sit at the bar. Appetizers were a standout, along with the pasta. The halibut not so much. Attentive service and great atmosphere. Parking is a bit of a pain, would not recommend the diamond lot from across the street.”
“We’ve been here once, the food was amazing, great customer service and they make fresh pasta daily. Recently I was out of town for work and realized I made reservation for dinner with my family here. I called them, but they didn’t answer, I left voice message and they got back to me which I missed it. They canceled the reservation for us on the day of reservation and didn’t charge me to money of no show. Appreciate that. Will definitely book this place again as I want to take my family here.”
“So simple yet so scrumptious! We were able to snag a last-minute reservation, which felt like a win. Inside is dim and intimate, and the staff are incredibly knowledgeable and genuinely passionate about the food. I was torn over the entire primi section, so we asked what we couldn’t leave Seattle without trying and ended up splitting both tajarins. Zero regrets. And of course, wine to go with it 🍷”
“Overall experience is a little disappointing. The pasta I have to admit is really good. The scallop dish is very flavorful. The panna cotta is good. The cabbage salad is a miss it likes a very plain coleslaw. The biggest miss is the $90 ribeye. There is really nothing special about it, the steak itself nor the sauce/flavor. Totality overpriced in my opinion.”
