They are welcoming, knowledgeable, passionate and make you feel right at home in this beautifully restored historic building. Everything is great before you even taste the wine and then the wine speaks for itself. French style blends with a heavy Napa/Sonoma influence. Having been to hundreds of wineries and tasted countless more in the area, these wines are at the top of the class. This place is worthy of a stop whether you’re a local or stopping in from out of town.”

“Stone Edge at the Ice House is an absolute must-visit. I know there are so many to choose from but this one is a must. The setting is stunning; the renovations in the inside of this building are stunning. They did a great job of combining modern elegance with historic charm, Also, the wines are truly exceptional...I mean hard to pick a favorite among the tasting. It was such a great tasting experience and especially loved the opportunity to try some older vintages. It is such a rare treat and a testament to the quality of their winemaking. Our host Jimmy was amazing: knowledgeable, warm, and clearly passionate about the estate and its wines. Overall, a fantastic experience from start to finish. Highly recommend.”

“My friends and I had a wonderful and relaxing experience tasting Stone Edge wines at their tasting room, Ice House, in Sonoma. I also came here with my cousin several months ago. Our host, Jimmy Merrill, always demonstrates excellent hospitality, service and he is so knowledgeable about the wines, the historic property, the winery, the vineyards, their farm, and was a joy to talk to. Stone Edge is an independent family owned winery. If you truly appreciate the wines of Bordeaux France, you will enjoy their wines. They are not your typical over the top California or Napa Cabs. I'm glad that I joined their wine club several months ago which includes a few special benefits that are different from other wineries. The bottle price of their wines is in the premium to super premium range and they release club selections twice a year.”
