The Black Cat Bellingham

“I recently dined at The Black Cat in Fairhaven, and overall it was a great experience. The standout for me was the beef stroganoff—rich, hearty, and exactly what you want when you’re craving comfort food. The chicken pesto was also excellent—really flavorful, well-balanced, and easily a dish I’d order again. Best pesto I’ve ever had. The only miss for me was the prawn appetizer, which I’d probably skip next time.”

“I've been here for both dinner and breakfast, both are really good. With this restaurant being on the top floor of one of Fairhaven's taller buildings, you get some nice views. I'd highly recommend the crab cake benedict. And if you're here for dinner, definitely get the generously sized fondue appetizer.”

“I haven't been to the Black Cat in over a year but it's still a great option for delicious food and atmosphere! The girls and I ordered many appetizers and one entrée. We went home absolutely content with the wonderful food and portion sizes.”

“Literally the best restaurant in Bellingham! The food is delicious and the vibes are fantastic! The old building is so beautiful it almost makes you feel like you’re traveling back in time. The food is always amazing and there’s so many options. The French dip is my personal favorite but you literally can’t go wrong”

“We went here for an anniversary dinner and we were lucky to have a reservation because the wait was an hour and a half otherwise. I got a prime rib special which was excellent and way worth the $35 price, however the $35 miso cod special was lacking in miso flavor and furikake in the rice which only had a sprinkle of it on. The price being the same on those two dishes was a little crazy but the service was quick and very good. The view from it being at the top of the building was also very nice and cozy, but the space seemed a little cramped. Overall though it was a good experience and I'd recommend the prime rib special dish if it is still there.”
