The Dandelion

“This was a great restaurant for both large and medium-sized groups. During my business trip, I ended up dining here two nights in a row, and I was actually excited to come back the second night. They offered a prix fixe menu with a choice of appetizer, entrée, and an assorted cake platter for dessert. The appetizer options included carrot soup and Caesar salad, while the entrées included the Dandy Beef Burger, artichoke risotto, and chicken curry. I got to try a little bit of everything from both my own dishes and my colleagues’ plates. The carrot soup was good - if you really love ginger, you’d probably enjoy it even more than I did. The Caesar salad came with an enormous pile of romaine lettuce covered in grated Parmesan cheese. It was a lot, but my colleagues clearly loved it because they all finished theirs. I really enjoyed my burger, and the fries were interesting in a good way: thick-cut and hearty. The artichoke risotto became the mysterious dish everyone at the table was curious about. It arrived buried under a mountain of grated Parmesan cheese and had a slightly lemony flavor. The chicken curry was also good, though the portion was huge and the yogurt flavor was a bit too strong for me personally. On the second night, I tried the scallops: three perfectly cooked scallops served with a creamy sauce and bacon. I absolutely loved that dish. I was advised to order a side since the scallop portion was small, so I chose the tri-color carrots, which turned out to be generous enough to share and were excellent. I also tried the green beans, and they were amazing. My colleagues who ordered steaks practically licked their plates clean - honestly, the kitchen probably didn’t even need to wash them afterward. The assorted cake platter was a really nice way to end the meal. What truly made the second night memorable was our server, who went above and beyond. As soon as I walked in, I asked if he could help us celebrate a special occasion. He immediately suggested a few options, including champagne and cake, and I chose a cake with a candle. We also needed to split the bill across seven people, and somehow he handled everything smoothly without any confusion. I unfortunately forgot his name, but the receipt listed him as “Dining Room P.” He did an outstanding job. Overall, this was a memorable dining experience with great food, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere for groups.”

“An adorable restaurant in the Rittenhouse Square neighborhood. Each room of the restaurant has a different vibe. Service was top-notch. We tried the deviled eggs and scones to start. Had the traditional English breakfast and Caesar salad for our main meal and the salted caramel banana trifle for dessert. Highly recommend everything! The drinks were just as good. Well crafted and delicious!”

“I have come back here again after a visit in 2022 and being mind blown. Well, I confirmed. The amount of details this place offer goes beyond delicious food, but with drinks and amazing interior of this centrally located restaurant. We got couple new dishes on the menu, there was no mistake. Good presentation, amazing flavours and great size of portions. Stayed late and enjoy almost fine dining experience. Warmly recommend!”

“Absolutely loved brunch at The Dandelion! I would definitely recommend making reservations if you can. We didn’t have one and showed up around 11:45 on a Saturday for brunch, so I was honestly expecting a wait. To my surprise, they were able to seat our party of two immediately! They did let us know they’d need the table back by 12:45 for an incoming reservation, which was totally fine because we are quick eaters anyway lol. The staff was so sweet and accommodating the entire time, and every single room in this place has its own charm and personality. I was especially excited that we got seated in the dog room. It has such cozy, classic vintage vibes and just feels incredibly unique. Brunch itself was phenomenal. The French toast with the chantilly cream was absolutely decadent, and my husband thoroughly enjoyed his salad as well. Even little details stood out here. If you order tea, it comes served properly in a teacup and everything, which just added to the whole experience. Cannot recommend this place enough!”

“The ambiance here looked really great online so we decided to give it a try and it did not disappoint! The place is very unique & cozy. We sat at the bar while we waited for our reservation time. I had the peachy drink & we had the cheeseboard & it was great. We sat upstairs for dinner and it was the “dog room”, which was unique & really neat. The staff were great & the food was all great! We ordered the crab salad, Caesar salad, fish & chips, rabbit pie, & burger. All items were really great. I didn’t try the rabbit pie but my friend said it was creamy, tender & tasty.”
